Good grief, Chery = Chevy? Not literally but I've seen them take a famous manufacturer's name and substitute a letter. I was toying with the idea of selling parts at one time and ran into the Hunda corp. They sold everything from treadmills to scooter parts. There's more examples but they elude me at this moment. I'll remember after another cup of coffee.

I say let them,,after WW2 we rebuilt japan and almost all of europe(germany in particular),,,they're not going to bring a workforce,,just the dough,,,it's the tooling guys,,,machine tools have never been better,,that's all we did (corporations),,built factories and staffed them with locals,,,,they'll do the same thing here, just like toyota did mercedes, hyundai,,geez if you take all the japanese and chinese parts out of a car or a bike they wouldn't run,,,even ducati has japanese parts now,,they all do it,,,the harley crowd poo poo's japanese stuff, i have not seen a decent race outside of flattrack (even thats a stacked deck) by harley in a long time,,you know why?,,,they suck,, they got hung up on their past, and thats what they sell nostalgia,,, and thats exactly what happened to the car industry as well to an extent,,they sat back pumping out camaros/chalengers/mustangs and the like,,,no real innovation just rehashes of the same old tired platform architectures,,,any U.S. made cars comeup against a rs4 audi? with 4.2 v8? or any harley touch a gsxr1000 suzi? they'd get killed dead,,why? advancement in design and innovation and thats what we need now in this country,,new blood,,fresh slate ideas and it can happen with fresh factories and the dough to back them up,,,any of you see an iphone? chinese built,,,you see the fit and finish on that thing? awesome build quality, envied by all manufacturers,,,designed where? U.S.A.,,and i'm very pro america too,,,,recent trip to china for a few weeks opened my eyes big time,,the rest of the world has passed us by my boys,,hong kong airport makes LAX (los angeles international) look like a cardboard box,,inchan international korea same thing,,,i was floored,,so let them come bring suitcases full of dough,,we will be the better(and richer) for it

There are exceptions to the rule. Polaris builds both Victory and Indian. Overhead cam, four valves per, super reliability in the Victory and pushrods and two valves per in the Indian. Jury is out on reliability but I wouldn't bet against it. Once they've trampled a certain Milwaukee company expect sportbikes and smaller cruisers with twenty-first century tech on board.

Sho nuff Cyborg, (isn't the second time I said that to you?), I'm very pro American too. But I'm also a realist, we've become fat, spoiled, and complacent. America has been running on borrowed money for a long time. Americans buy the biggest damn truck that will fit in their garage and finance it with a loan that makes the truck worthless after 6 years. Did you hear that?! Six year car loans! What do they do? Walk away and let the bank deal with it. At least they quit bitching about the price of gas while driving their 4 ton truck. Wait....no, they never quit bitching. It's always somebody else's fault, they don't appreciate me, why do I have to go to work, I've moved back in with my parents. Wah Wah WAh..... grow a pair America, the rest of the world already did.

this is going to be worse than ArmagedonDon't you mean Pearl Harbor? correct.... chinese coming to US to manufacture is real mayhem. and what??? would they write on the label " made in USA"?? thats not fair!!!! i would probably trust them to manufacture a fly zapper but not anything that involves life, like medicines, slimming pill, cars etc, they might mess up the quality and kill people... thats why i said, GOD HELP US ALL when the chinese come here in the US, they just want a quick buck ... omg

Yeah, just like those cheap Japanese cars built in Ohio and Kentucky. Who needs more jobs and factories in this Country? There are plenty of Walmarts and fast food joints for people to work in.
