Thank you Jim. I would never have thought that they used a vacuum type fuel pump. I was thinking that the fuel pump was in the tank and all being part of the fuel sending unit like most cars. I know the unit your talking about. I have the same type unit on one of my Harley Soft tail bikes, but it is a safety vacuum fuel shut of valve. That's what I was thinking that this unit was. Beth is sending me a new fuel pump and I should have it later this week. She is one fantastic employee and she has gone out of her way to get me the parts I need so I can get this trike on the road. She is really an asset to the company.

im doing this for the newbies,?to prevent them from buying disposable scoots ( i didn't say chinese scoots) i want them to know that there are a lot of quality scooters out there , just shop around!!! lets lay all the cards and let them choose which one is better and fits their lifestyle. like them, i was once a newby, and i just rely on what my parents gave me. if my parents give me their hard earned money just to buy a disposable scooter that will end up in the garage collecting cab webs, i cannot stomach that. like tomcat the gay homewrecker.. lol i like technotech better than malevelina simply because technotech admitted that they bought a LEMON and made a huge mistake in buying that chinese trike, ,,malevelina on the other hand is still in denial that they were ripped off. Well I made it 23 days on my New Years Resolution about Luke and his "comments". Now it is going to broken. First off, when Malevina said "Now it's time for me to add my two cents...First Luke...stop talking" I almost fell off my chair from laughing. Second, when she said "You don't know anything about the trike except the bad stuff that has been written. What are you going to say after he gets it fixed and fixed properly and I'm not having anymore problems with it at all?" I can answer that, he will still continue to talk trash as he has in the past, just ask DaveC. Third, From a previous post in July, Luke, if you were creditible, maybe someone would listen or agree with you. If had experience, maybe more would listen to you and agree. You seem to enjoy making a fool of yourself. Of course someday I may need a good trailer, then I will ask for your advice. Again I will ask you why you haven't responded to my questions on this thread scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cg....63&page=2#65177In case you can't find that thread I will ask them again How Long have you been a mechanic? Auto? Truck? Motorcycle? Scooter? How long have you made your living with the above? What kind of different manufacturers/distributors have you dealt with and repaired or sold their machines? How long have you been a motor vehicle dealer? What brands? Read more: scooterdoc.proboards.com/user/21/recent?page=6#ixzz2rEepmL3W want to answer those questions now? I have been working in the mechanic field for most of my life, have owned and operated Rapid Repair for going on 21 years now. Also, I am a Certified/Master Mechanic since 1976. I have been with Ice Bear since 2009 and been selling the 300s since they came out in 2010. Since 2010 there has been many mods on the 300s and today they are a better machine. Ice Bear is the only company that sells conventional scooter trikes and have a US patent. They strive to put out the best product they can and they DO listen to their dealers and consumers to take care of issues that may arise. As with anything, things happen and things break, the main thing is that Ice Bear stands behind what they sell. I have come to one or two conclusions about Luke, either he just enjoys starting issues, getting people riled up and listening to himself talk or he really believes what he is saying no matter how misguided and uniformed he is. Fourth, Yes Luke, I still remember when you compared me to a drug dealer, any other board you would have been banned for such a personal and untrue attack, it is a good thing there is many miles between us. To the members of this forum, I am sorry I this thread, but enough is enough. You Go Jim!!!! I'm behind you 100%. Most of us come to this forum for help or just to BS about our bikes/trikes. It's a learning experience for some of us...apparently Luke isn't one of those. He seems to know everything about everything and everyone else is wrong. I almost feel sorry for him...I don't think he realized that he's making a fool of himself. Thank you Jim for posting your thoughts.

Updated: 1/23/14 / New Problem(s) added.
1) tranny 2) fuel pump 3) Distinct Shimmy 4) front end wobble 5) 6) more....
...AGAIN, I'M DOING THIS FOR THE NEWBIES...I'M SAVING THEM BEFORE THEY GET HYPNOTIZED AND GET RIPPED OFF.
you were a top mechanic for a long time and now you want to sell low end quality scooters to people?...you know better than that sir.i know you are a very good dealer no doubt about it, but a good dealer doesn't compensate for a scooter that has been problematic from day one...and yes it's brand new!!...oh pls, dont ever mention "that's why we have warranty"
my 2cents...pls keep the change!!!
distinct shimmy!!!

I would like to thank everyone on here that has helped with information on the repair of my girlfriends Ice Bear trike. After replacing the vacuum fuel pump it fired right up and runs great. This has been a real experience for me working on a Chinese made trike. I work more on Harleys then any other bikes as a past time hobby and there is really a great difference between the two. We have a little front end wobble but have figured out what is causing that and will be taking the rear wheels to have them computer balanced at the local tire shop.

Updated: 1/23/14 / New Problem added. 1) tranny 2) fuel pump 3) Distinct Shimmy 4) 5) 6) more.... Stuff happens on all makes and models of cars, truck, bikes, trikes, etc. My brother had a Japan bike, Honda, that was constantly in the shop with one thing or another going wrong with it. It just happens. Stop being so negative about everything. Geez.

Doing this for the newbies my $$$$. "a good dealer doesn't compensate for a scooter that has been problematic from day one." Let's back the truck up here. First off, Chinese scooters are the only scooter that you can have shipped to your door unassembled and unPDIed. The assembly, PDI and first test ride is the customers responsibility. In the case with Ice Bear, you can elect to have the trike shipped already assembled/PDIed, or you can buy from a B&M Dealer off the lot with everything already done for you including gas. If one of the later had been done, there is no doubt in my mind that those issues would have been found and fixed before the customer took delivery, which for sure that would have been the case off of my lot! Now with Japanese machines, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, ect., you do not have the option of buying in a crate. You must buy from a B&M Dealer. If you think that these Dealers don't have issues with some of their machines from the day the take theirs out of the crate you need to have your head examined or get out of your dream world and join the rest of the population. I know for a FACT there is issues, point in fact, I am very good friends with the owner of the local Yamaha Dealer, you should hear some of his stories on what they get out of the crate directly from Yamaha! My advise to you Luke is to get out from behind your computer, go out in the world and attempt to learn something. As with every time I have asked you to give your experience or credentials you do not answer, as was said by someone else here here,,,if the source was sound it would be a different story,,but to hear it from sour grapes inexperience is grateing and unwarranted and ultimately annoying at best,,, I do commend you for this i really wish there will be no more major issues with your trike.. have fun and ride safe.

I have one of the first ones to come into the states, bought it back in march of 2009 a PST150H is the name they gave it at that time. I had some axle problems and exhaust and muffler problems but I fixed all that within 6 months. Since then it has been reliable and starts on the first hit of the start button. Just 2 months or a month ago I replaced the ORIGINAL battery it came with. I have modded the heck out of it and cannot think of any other mods I can do(HAHA). Thats my Trike in the my SIG. Alleyoop

We have a little front end wobble but have figured out what is causing that and will be taking the rear wheels to have them computer balanced at the local tire shop. To verify if the axle is not squared off, let go of the handle bars and if not squared it will pull to one side or the other. It should track straight, what I do is measure from inside the cross bar by where the center stand would have been of it was a 2 wheeler to a point on each side on the alxe. I found 1/8 off will not pull and will track straight. And yes I had my wheels balanced when I bought the new 205/65x10 Kenda Street Tires, they spin balance them and one took 1oz and the other 2oz. If a wheel takes more than 3 ozs then there is a problem with either the rim or the tire. Alleyoop

I'm going to chip in on rapidjim's last post,,,i'm not a pro as i do not make my living with wrenches on peoples repair problems,,,i did grow up in a stock car shop (when they were still called that) my dad built racing cars and a little of it rubbed off on me,, i've had 53 personal bikes,, alot new ,,and every one thats every one had issues from bolts being loose and not torqued correctly to missing altogether,,there is always something ,,my last bmw had fuel tank couplings that were bad,,,fuel everywhere on a hot engine,,,nice,,and that thing was not cheap,,,,i can guarantee that my new/old et4 has problems i just havn't torn into it yet to give it the once over twice,,,all manufacturers have waranty issues ,service bulletins, endless revisions of parts design,,,bmw sent me the revised couplings,,i still have them in my rollaway,,the supplier of the o rings called out the wrong material,,i put viton o rings in and the problem was cured so i didn't need the new couplings,,they all have a share of recalls and warranty issues,no matter where they come from
