Any you guys got a service manual for a 2008 yw50 zuma in PDF I can download? Any help would be awsome! Had my moped tag on my 150 gy6 and got pulled over by a trooper the other night. $1,126 in fines and got to go to court. So I got to fix the zuma. The crank splines are striped for the starter clutch. Guess I'll have to swap the crank. Oh joy!!! Thanks guys.

Threads ain't the problem bro. The splines are striped where the starter clutch and variator go on the crank.

That will be hard to do and he cannot go smaller otherwise the Variator will not lock onto the splines. He needs a new crank. He has to split the case and put in new bearings and crank. If the motor has a lot miles on he should also just rebuild the top end since he has it apart. Either that or just get a new motor. I would opt for a new motor and build that one as a project with a BBK. Alleyoop scooterunderground.ca/knowledge/manuals/documents/BWS_Zuma_Service_Manual.pdf

Yup you got it right Alley. 17,933 miles on it. But don't have the dough for a new motor. Got to fix this one. Thanks for the link!

Perhaps a heat fitted bushing between the two after you grind the remainder of the splines off. Kinda like pressing a gear on a shaft.

did they impound the 150 or confiscate?,,,yea as far as the crank goes welding it having it turned back down to size having it splined then reheat treated,,,4 times the cost of a new one,,,,how about a good used engine?,,,lots of those out there cheap too,,,found one for my et4 with low miles for cheap,,i dont need it but for the money i may get it and just have it in case
