Not real happy with my digital and like the analogs but do they work on out scoots?

don't see why it would be,,,12 volt source and a signal from the ingnish

Yes, that's correct. But try to get one made for a bike. They're designed to take more vibration w/o the needle hopping all over the place. What's wrong with the digital? I use a Tiny Tach and although a little pricey up front it has been a workhorse.

ya the inductive tachs suck . when I changed the speedo on the prodigy to the BMS pathfinder speedo I had to wire the tack . I tested it first two wires connect to the coil and one to 12vdc power . I started it up and all was well .
