I didnt realize how short you are. Perhaps a smaller model would have been better?
Can you see your feet on your drivers license photo?

I rode it in and out of the garage. That's about as far as I got. I'm still waiting on the MCO to get it registered. I'm about 90% certain it will be in tomorrow's mail. If not, I'll cry. If I hadn't had all the kids at home by myself today, I probably would've gone around the block a few times. I'm gonna ride it till it breaks tomorrow though. I already told the wife to not plan on seeing much of me tomorrow. Shockingly, she didn't balk at that so it sounds like I'm in the clear.

I did. I just got back from my first neighborhood ride. This thing is a hoot! It's not running great though. It wants to die when I let off the throttle and doesn't like to start if it's already warm. I kinda anticipated it. I think it's a combination of the valves being set too tight and the fact that I tuned the carb when it was about 35 degrees outside. I'm gonna let it cool off and fix all that, then I should be in good shape for a twilight ride. By the way, I do have 93 octane and Sea Foam in in now, so that drastic change in fuel makeup could have a little to do with it too. Did you get yours back on the road cyborg?

Sorry to be a wet blanket but you have to set the valves stone cold. The only good way to do that is after an overnight cooling down. Trust me. Even the dealers want you to bring the bike in at night so it sits and they can get to it in the morning. Even a little residual heat will throw off the adjustment.

sounds like you got it under control. yeah tuning when cold and with different octane/old gas will make a difference. tight valves will cause it to die at idle like that. also maybe you idle adjustment needs to be, well, adjusted. good to hear you actually got to ride it though

Darn it KZ. I guess since I can't ride it anymore today, now I have nothing to do but fire up the grill and see how far into this Sammy Adams variety pack I can get. Oh well. Somehow, I'll manage.

Ah yes, the Coping Mechanism from the Book of Cyborg. It was found in a cave along with the Dead Sea Scrolls.
