I called Jack and said I had put too much oil in my SYM during a change Sunday. I said would it hurt anything? He said "Oh yes, you must get that out of there!" That was awfully good sentence structure for Jack but let's continue. I said "so I should drain it and start over?" "Oh no" replied Jack, "Just stick a clear hose down in the oil fill.....and suck on it!" Jack, is that giggling I hear? Jack: "Huh? No! Just suck on the hose!" Is that Alley I hear Jack? Jack: "Who? NO! Suck on the hose!!" OK, but I'm pretty sure I hear giggling....like twelve year olds or something. OK, if you say so:
FLASH FLASH!! AHHH! THE Flashbulbs! Good grief Arkie, how did you get here so fast to take this picture? Oh...it was Alley! He drove!.....I see Mr. Chicago, you and Mr. Chicken Coop! That's fine...that's just fine. You guys can quit giggling now. I said QUIT GIGGLING!
True story, I did call JR, he did tell me to do that, and it did save me draining the oil again. True story, your coadmin is bat crap crazy, always has been, and I guess always will be, I don't seem to be changing much....sigh. Rich

thats handy,,,i have one but it's gigantic ,,,so i slip a hose over the baster and it works like a charm for the smaller needs

Theres no evidence that the other end of that hose actually goes to the crank case...perhaps to a bong just off camera?

Kinda reminds me of the guy trying to save himself some money and change his scooter oil himself.
Asked how to do it on a forum, read what he needed to do,
Located Drain Plug and removed it, draining all the oil.
Clean the screen filter and replaced it with the spring and tighten drain plug.
Third step, fill with 10W40 oil, he did, all the way to the top and then started it and started to go for a ride.................. Bang!
Hmmmmm, he missed the part where it said 3/4 of a quart and check the dip stick!
