Dude. Did you read the part about my 650 Kawasaki? Plus your scooter is a trike. How much will it be affected by side gusts with support wheels. How would the Reflex have done on that trip? Move up in size? We have deer out here in the boonies. Move up in size and do what? Ride 65 to 70? I got clobbered by flying Wild Turkeys. It's not the same world out here in the boonies. He's fine, he has the situation figured out. The only size required is broader thinking.

Reflex is a fine little machine but not on trips over more than than 2-3 hour. I got hit once by a turkey buzzards on the Reflex yes we have boonies here and in the many states I ride. I guess by your remarks, I just don't know nothing about scooters. It's your opinion only that counts I guess.

I never said only my opinion counts. All I said was he has it down pat. He rides with his head. So sorry that I argued with you. My 87 year old Dad is much more flexible, has a 750 Kawasaki he still uses, rides on Long Island and oh, uses his head. He started in 1947, has never had an accident and still rides three or four times a week. I forget there are younger old guys who know so much more than him.

I have to align myself with Magoo. If he has a larger more substantial machine, then he can keep up with the traffic, have a heavier machine and therefore have a safer ride. IMHO!

That is true... but, a smaller SCOOT like a 150 or 250 is great around town and short trips. Kz worry not... I just consider the source...LOL

Only way a 850lb bike would have helped last year when the dog killed my 150 is that had I been riding one it would have killed the damn dog, which would have made me happier.

Riding on the interstate with a 50cc is legal in your state? I just can not see why one would even consider doing that. Used to be if one as caught it was,a big fine and you had no choice the bike was towed.

Yeah them big semi trucks can be scary I agree a lot of people seem to be in a hurry. Best to use caution at all times. I find my self flagging people to pass me also.

I thought the topic was GOOD ADVICE???
Here is some good advice that everyone should follow or PAY THE PRICE:
If whatever your riding CANNOT KEEP UP with TRAFFIC get the HELL off that ROAD.
People that do not and get their arse run over then go and BLAME the CAGE-RS.
These people do not have a brain in their head, maybe in their arse but surely lack something up there. Alleyoop

Spare me you guys. One, this isn't the first time I ventured out onto that road so I knew it would be fine. Second, There is always some lunatic, everywhere, speeding. I got passed by a cop, with no lights or siren doing 90+ on my Kawasaki. People pass people all the time. Everytime I get on anything I could get run over. I repeat-I'm not doing 70 mph with deer, racoons, porcupine, wild turkeys, rabbits, skunk and low flying birds to "KEEP UP" with traffic. What next? "If you can't drive something that won't get hit at intersections you shouldn't go out". Biking is a dangerous sport. All you can do is USE YOUR HEAD and do what you can to stay safe. Sheesh.

i only trust Japanese scooters on highway riding,,,nothing else.,,chinese sounding scooter brands should be used in sidestreets and alleys.,and the rider should not ride too far away from his house because for sure he needs to call his wife to pick him up because the scooter bogs. i trust japanese scooters so much....please respect my opinion.
