Ok, So we have a thread on "Good Advise" and "Near Death"
So Post Up! What Gear Do you Wear while Riding.
Me, In my many years of Involvement with Professional and Amateur Motorsports I'm Anal when it come to gear.
I have seen enough die or become Paralyzed, so if there's something new or better to protect myself I'm on it
On either My Blade or Scoot I wear a Arai XR-7 Helmut, Vanson Leather Jacket, Alpine Star Armored knuckle gloves, Gaerne GP Boots with Ti toes,
And from the good people at Leatt a Prototype Neck Brace.
The last two States I lived in have no helmut law so the Neck Brace usually gets the most smirks. Whatever.
The above combination was proven to keep me from great injury last June.
In 40+ years of riding I packed my StreetFighter (RIP) into the underside of a guard rail.
as She slid into and under the guard rail I went over the bars cleaning out the Instrument cluster and Bubble Shield, did some kind of Aerobatics with Acrobatics and landed
Almost on my feet. fractured two ribs on my right side and a fracture to my tail bone.
Didn't plan on being a Crash test Dummy for Leatt but i still walked away with only a couple fractures, Destroyed Bike and severely bruised pride.
Oh ya just in case I am a Organ Donor.

full face tiltup hjc composite with armored jeans boots gloves leather jacket or oilskin riding jacket for low speed stuff,,,heingarrick armored jacket and pants sidi boots arai fullface and knuckle gloves for fast stuff,,,simpson kevlar/carbon helmet,,motoman full leather with all composit armor titanium knukle gloves sidi boots for track or when i'm feeling nutty on the street,,,,,,,when i ride my scooter it's no shirt ,,speedo,,,flip flops,,soup bowl helmet and no gloves

LOL just kidding on the scooter gear,,,i'd kick my own arse if i ever rode like that,,,i see it often in the summer and it just screams inexperience to me,,,someone who never fell down obviously,,,i hit a big patch of oil on the freeway couple years ago,,,,at speed ,,had it sliding dirt track style and i actually had it under control,,,,then the fun started,,i ran out of oil still sideways tires bit,,,and it was like disney land without the fun

I always wear my leather jacket, leather gloves, helmet and assorted footwear according to my moods. I usually wear workshoes since most of my rides are commutes. I have a pair of Engineer boots that I'll wear when I'm not doing a lot of walking when I get somewhere.

that would be a picture huh? scooter,,,,,,me in a speedo,,,lol,,,it'd look like a rubber band on an egg,,,,ouch i just creeped myself out,,,my poor wife,,,as a side Clone you just gotta put up a pic of you flying a bike one day,,,,,

Nah I have found from experience that bringing the camera out equal's "Hold My Beer and Watch This"
As mutch as I would like to get the Go-Pro out of yours truly Draggin a Knee or Old guy Throwin a Fat Whip off a Triple, Nope.
I pulled fourth recently at a buck ten or so at the peak of a down hill and inadvertently pulled the most beautiful Down hill wheelie.
Wanted so bad to replicate on the Go-Pro but old and wise kicked in as I knew it spelled disaster ie Whiskey Throttle Endo.

Always wear helmet, armored jacket, armored pants , riding shoes and gloves.

always have glasses on but i prefer a full face with a shield as well,,,been pelted with rocks a few times to the point of it cracking the shield,,,,i see it often ,,,no eye protection,,,crazy

I always wear a helmet (no half helmet either). I prefer full faced helmets because of the extra protection. When I rode motocross, I wiped out and my head hit a big rock on my way down. I hit with so much force it cracked my helmet. I had a concussion, but I was alive relatively unhurt. I've seen a few guys eat handlebars and get teeth knocked out with 3/4 helmets. I don't get on a 2 wheeler without a helmet even though MI. allows no helmet.
Riding my scooter I always have jeans (no shorts), jacket, gloves and hiking boots.
Eye protection is a must! Sometimes I have the face shield up, but I have sunglasses on. I don't like bugs or dirt in my eyes.

i wear shorts,slippers ,white hanes long sleeve tshirt and LOTS of sunblock 100 SPF. i can ride without helmet BUT not without sunglasses...
winter, i wear my heated jacket. turn on the music and enjoy the weekend ride...destination, starbucks!,, we need to socialize once in a while...

i try to always wear a helmet. longsleeve shirt and jeans all the time and wokboots or leather shoes
