Those older yamaha's are great. I always liked yamaha until I got the 2007 majesty. Have had several yamaha motorcycles and still have a 180 riva. I keep meaning to go all out on it and repaint and spruce it up. I think it rides smoother than the majesty. I keep thinking they have hired some real idiots in the early 2000's in the scooter dept.

Rocket has the same size battery. It gets stuffed in the frame wrapped in all kinds of wires and connectors. I laughed the first time I saw it.

That's pretty cool it goes to say there is always some sort of great deal out there the secret is jumping on them if you can. That's a great find for 50 dollars I would think you could make some bank on that if decided not to keep it.

Yes check the inside of the gas tank. Thats probably what happened and a good filter will help. My riva had gas problems, actually tank was clean but had a slight leak that would empty the small tank in a week yet there was no dripping. Turned out to be the valve on the bottom.

this has a plastic tank that looks clean, but the float rod is rusty, so short of getting a new one (float rod) im just putting a filter inline as the vacuum valve has a sediment bowl, but it doesn't catch everything. on the upside, this is the only scoot I got that finally has a working gas gauge . ill work on the carb later. its not real fun to get off because the airbox is so packed in there that the spring clip is hard to get to.

Lantern scooter would you no where I can find parts for a 2006 united sports matrix 150? I am glad to hear you are working the bugs out of your new scooter.
