It's been a tough Michigan winter. It's probably been the worst winter I've ever been through and it's finally letting up. So tomorrow, seeing how we finally have our dad's bike reassembled and running, we will be going to pull our 50cc's out of storage and get them running. Hopefully our winterizing kept them able to start over the winter, because I don't want to clean the carb out. Any suggestions for taking the bike out of storage/things I should check (this is the first year we have had them, and thus stored them)? I can't wait to start riding again. It was such an acute sense of freedom. I can remember when a rain storm spontaneously hit us last summer while me and my brother were out riding...rode all the way home in the heavy rain..exhilarating. What's your favorite riding moment?

Way too many favorite moments to list here. I'd have to write a book.

I would recommend checking the oil. You might want some jumper cables with you in case baterie is dead. Also make sure tires are holding air. Other than that hope all works out well for you.
My favorite scooter moments are riding with someone just getting lost finding new roads. Good luck guys keep us postided.

best riding moments with me was when i joined the amerivespa, we racked up almost 350 miles with a group of about 400 riders in two days, riding around the hillls and mountains and along the san diego coastal areas. the feeling is so spectacular.

When I was riding my Goldwing and Shadow Sabre, every spring I Changed oil/filter (screen) changed rear gear oil air filter plug(s)
check brake fluid check air pressure
(cost of oil/filter/plug is minimul)
Add an oz of seafoam each/every other gas fill up

What's your favorite riding moment? I've been on a bike since I was 10. My Dad always had a Harley and I would pester him endlessly when I was too small to ride to take us out on the big bike. At 10 he gave me a Benelli to shut me up. Prior to that he made me a scooter. That's right...he MADE a scooter. So... too many years to pick one moment. However..I was about to graduate from chiropractic college in 1983 and had a couple weeks off before the ceremonies (blah blah). I was on my way up to Toledo on a BMW 800cc to see my then to be wife Sue (RAH RAH!). I didn't stop riding back then....even for a tornado! Um...that's what happened. I was coming through Memphis and there was a funnel cloud off to the left and it was hailing. I thought the hail is not big enough to hurt the paint and the funnel appeared to be moving away. My girl was waiting, it was exhilarating, I'll never forget it. Another time, I had to hide under a bridge from a tornado with the same bike. It was blue....it was beautiful. Rich

As I was writing that I thought why in the hell did I sell that bike!! So yeah Pete.....I'm there with ya buddy. Shoot, I would have kept every bike if I had the means. Of course I wouldn't be married or have kids. Hmmmmm....I'll have to think about that one. Rich

Luke I guess I wouldn't be able to ride in a group I have a milk crate on my scooter also. I think kz has a tote not a milk crate. I would think he is riding now the weather is getting real nice.
