I had a bike that would nail the front brake on it's own if I was carving a bunch of curves. It turned out the fluid was heating up, expanding, and I had a messed up master cylinder. Replaced the master cylinder and all was cool. Rich

Moisture. If it was cold there could have been moisture on the rotor from rain, dew or washing. This can cause the pads to stick. If it was warmed up from driving it could be moisture in the brake fluid and it needs to be flushed out.
Another reason to always wear a helmet.

Yeah I believe you probley cleaned it could cause the problem. I have had close to the same situation happen on my scooter but never locked up on me.
