Maybe a good used car would have been a better mode of transportation for her, like in the rain, or winter days, or at night. Maybe she rode a scooter cause it was all she could afford, but wasn't a real scooter enthusiast. Not bashing, just wondering.
But, a new scooter is always nice

Maybe a good used car would have been a better mode of transportation for her, like in the rain, or winter days, or at night. Maybe she rode a scooter cause it was all she could afford, but wasn't a real scooter enthusiast. Not bashing, just wondering. But, a new scooter is always nice I had a couple of thoughts. She may not even have a driver's license. In some states you don't need a license to ride one. The "Duct Tape" scooter may have been a Japanese scooter. Old ones had engines that you just couldn't kill. Now she has a shiny new Chinese scooter. What happens at valve adjustment time? I understand the difference between an enthusiast and a plain owner, but think of this. She bundles up and rides in the cold, which even in Arizona can drop into the 30s, and uses it year round. I have a lot of respect for that. At least she's using it and not just riding to Starbuck's on Sunday. Scooters are really meant to be used that way. They're a little more utilitarian than 180 horse crotch rockets.

The most fun I ever had riding was on a crotch rocket! The upkeep on one is atrocious just in tires, chains and sprockets alone. I been known to use up a $180 tire in a month or less.
