Hi Guys, Ordered a new Viking PST150-8 from Jim at Rapid Repair and was told today it would be shipping out tomorrow. I had the PDI done by Ice Bear so I would get the full warranty. So it should be here early next week. Is there anything I should double check on the trike before I ride it? I already know a few things I will be doing to it after it's broken in. Such as 115 variator. Any brand preferences? 11-12 gram sliders. New taller less hard rear tires. Looking for tread that will work in wet and snow. Should the front tire also be replaced? Doesn't look like there is enough space for a wider front tire but how about a taller one? Anything else I should think of? Thanks, billtrek

I decided to get a new ice bear Viking from Jim. Even though the magnum was a bigger bike I didn't want to get a trike with a known problem.

Roy, The info on checking the axel and wheel movement is appreciated. Probably be easier to take the rear fenders off to check the chain, sprockets and reverse adjustment. As far as riding in the snow, maybe put the chains on the front for steering traction.

Thanks Roy, I'm going to at least go and check it out. How do you like yours? Have you ever ridden it in the winter?

Really it would be wise to go with a straight axle
So I should not get this bike with independent suspension. Ok Mike. I know you had one just like it. thanks for the heads up.

Mike. I don't have the money to do all that. Is there something I should check to see if it is wearing badly? Or is there a way to prevent it? Since it has such low mileage. I like the rack you had on the back. I also like the fender lights. Are they turn signals or brake lights? Jim. If the tires are still original What size should I replace them with? The rims look different than the ones on the newer version. Do you have a picture of what I need to check on the A arms? And spindles and hubs. Alleyoop. Do you know a good tire tread for the snow? Here is the listing so you can see the bike. link

alleyoop. Lol it's not that bad if you dress for it. I like riding in the snow. My Ural has no problem with a few inches of snow on the ground. Jim. I talked with the owner tonight and he told me it vibrates going over 35. He blamed the "knuckles in the rear end" I'm guessing that means he has the independent rear suspension with CV axels. He also said that reverse works. Mike. What kind of mods did you do.You replaced the rear end twice .

Jim would it be better to have the straight axel or the CV with independent suspension? Alleyoop That silverwing looks great triked out. The guys son put the add up for him. He told me he would give my number to his Dad. Haven't received any reply from his Dad yet. Does anyone ride their trikes in the winter? I ride my ural sidecar all winter and was wondering if I could do it with these trikes also.

Hi Guys,
Just found a trike I'm interested in. A 2010 Magnum. He is asking $2000 and it has 220 miles on it.
Sounds like a great deal. Can anyone give me some feed back on this model. Any known problems for this year?
Does it have reverse, Is the rear end like the new 2014's or a different set up?
Thanks, Billtrek
