Alleyoop, that would be sweet if I was keeping the stock Air Box as I have converted a lot of my intakes to the aluminum one.... However, I'm ditching the stock air filter box... The pipe you linked to goes from the carburetor to the Air Cleaner box - The kind of air filter that's on the left side over the CVT cover, not the one under the seat.

Thanks for the feedback.....So I should make a duct?.... I got the same response on itstheride.... Anyone have a link to a dealer that sells the duct pre-made or is it something I should fabricate. Cost is it not an issue, but a "professional look" is.

I am looking to buy some performance air filters for my scooters. I purchased some K&N's that fit the carburetor, but they hit that stupid bar on the frame... So, does anyone have a recommendation for a good filter (prefer K&N) that I'm able to use? Part number will be great, link will be better.... Thanks.

Those measurements are at the center of the bolts, edge of bolts would be 54mm or so, ironic and could confuse people, definitely has me confused. I may take a ride over to Scrappy's and measure a couple of their heads to get to the bottom of this once and for all. I can tell you that the BN139QMB has standard stud spacing, but a different stock head (still takes standard head replacements fine, but rocker arms have to be switched). IF you have 57mm center to center, it's a b-case.... I currently own a couple of Taida engines that are b-case and I have personally measured them..... I also have a scrappy 161QMK, b-case also.... I'll tell ya where the confusion comes from: It's the BN that ZNEN attaches to their engine stamps. I have 2 ZNEN engines that are stamped with BN157QMJ, a short case and a long case.... I thought I had b-cases... After many hours of research I learned that "BN" was just an identifier for a ZNEN engines. However, I also learned that the engines with a -3 is a new type of GY6 engine that was designed to accommodate the larger 16" wheels. The information I could not find is wether it's a "b" or an "a" case... However, If you measured 57mm center to center, the issue is put to rest because it is in fact a b case.

2.25 = 57.15....
So, the 3rd rendition of ZNEN's GY6 150cc, is a b-case motor after all.
Sweet.
Why are you picking the 61mm NCY kit? Is that the 61mm that doesn't require boring of the case? Got a link?

parts for the BN157QMJ-3. After measuring the engine stud spacing, I'm happy to find most BBKs will work as well. If you measured the stud spacing, what did it turn out to be? 54mm or 57mm?

Does anyone know if there is high performance (higher PSI) oil pumps for the GY6 150cc?? I have searched in the past and came up empty handed... Ecotrons has an electric OilPump.. It's intended for use with their with small engine turbo but can also be used to increase oil PSI in General.... Increases the flow to 60L/H.... However, I would like to find a mechanical one.

some stroker kits provide a spacer for the bottom of the cylinder,,,and DM i'm sure it varies engine to engine / manufacturer to manufacturer,,,and as we've seen on this forum and i've seen on others there is no "standard" when it comes to these scoots,,you must measure and verify,,,and also you need to calculate growth if you start squeezing it tight,,my last desmoquatro mill had a warning lite in the tach,,,when it was lit no going over 3-4000 rpm,,,or stuff would start running into each other,,,Alley had a stroked crank put in his scoot engine,,,build done by Jim at rapid repair,,,i'd give him a shout,,,click on his scrolling tile ad at the top of the page,,,i'm sure he has all the answers to your questions I can't get a measurement for a couple of days and was hoping someone had the info on hand. Let me clarify. The engine I'm talking about is a "stock GY6 150cc 157QMJ". While you may find different accessories like different stators, the engine will always be the same in the sense that it will have a a 57.4 x 57.8 (bore x stroke). They also have the same clearance volume. I'm building a high compression motor with forged piston and ceramic coated cylinder. The cylinder I'm using is a water cooled Taida and it's taller than the stock 157QMJ cylinder by .8mm. If memory serves correctly the clearance volume in a stock 157QMJ is 2.5mm. That gives me a clearance volume of 3.3mm but the stroker I'm using is 3.5mm. ------------------------ Here's the thing, Taida's techs designed this engine for me personally. They machined the piston so It wouldn't hit on the down-stroke, provided chain with extra links, extra long studs, etc etc... Taida knows their products and even though this one in particular is their first run like this, I just can't believe they would make a mistake like this. But I'm still coming up .2mm short..... Smallest riser is 2mm. Perhaps I'm supposed to double or triple up base gaskets.

Going back to original post, can someone tell me how much space is available for a stroker kit in a stock GY6 150cc?
I'm pretty sure it's either 2, or 2.5mm but that extra .5mm is critical info I need to know.

That CDI wasopened up by a member here and it was filled with sand , If you want a true performance CDI this is the one . John Hey John, have you ever seen a Casoli CDI in Blue? I was on ebay and happened to come across one... I'm curious as to if it's fake... I've literally seen 100's of these but have NOT seen a blue one before:

Inspecting your scooter for the new season is an awesome way to get started. I'm a safety nut so I think what you're doing should be mandatory... I'm so jealous! Dr. Rocco is sitting there talking about Garden Seeds and his scooter as I'm sitting here in single digits in the day, negative digits at night. This is my forecast for the week:

I want to make myself as visible as possible. Like you, I want to make myself as visible possible.... A neat Item I found on Ebay are Illuminated LED reflectors. In addition to always (when the scooter is started) being on, they act as a blinker/stop light. They're cheap, draw very little power and gives your turning/stopping more viewing angles (from the side)....
