For me to get to the carb better I'll have to take the left fenders off. But on the bright side,, I should end up with more extra screws.

Turned the screw out 3 turns and it starts right up but still idles fast, then slow, but it keeps running. I have a bowl vent line that goes nowhere, is that ok? If I put my finger over it the motor dies. I can't do pictures anymore. I had my $300 camera on the fender when I started the trike up and the camera hit the ground. It don't work no more,, bummer!

I turned the screw counter clockwise one time and had it running great, but the screw was backed WAY out. I took it for a ride and had to be towed back. The needle and spring fell out as I was going down the road. Luckily they both got hung up on the motor and I found them when I got back. Was a son of a gun to get them out, but I did. The air leak might be the problem, I'll look for one. WD-40 should tell me if and where a leak is. Think I'll take me a 15 minute break first. If the Idle bounces up and down it is LEAN you either have an Air Leak someplace or the Fuel Ratio Mixture needs to be turned Counter Clockwise a little more to allow more fuel to be sucked out. When Adjusting the carbs Fuel Ratio screw only turn it 1/4 turns at a time so you don't go to far one way or the other. Alleyoop

Alleyoop, I'll tell ya, I had nightmares thinking about taking off that back fender, but, like you said, just the four screws. That was a piece of cake. And your instructions were great, chain tightened and straight. Thanks,, again. Get the carb figured out and the Wife is ready to roll.

On the carb adjustment, I get it to where it runs smooth and steady for about 4 minutes, then it speeds up, then slows back down. I am working with the air/fuel mixture like it says here. I have cleaned the air filter like it tells me to on the container. I can't seem to keep it running at a steady speed. Any ideas??

Afternoon Alleyoop, I have about 2 1/2 to 3 inches of play in the chain and it's hitting the guard. As for the "align the rear differential", will I have to remove the rear fenders to do that??

Bashan, When I use the search on the right side and type in "adjust drive chain" or "tighten chain" I get asked the following in box's. Thread Created By - Post Created By - Post Creation Date - Thread Creation Date. I also tried the search on the left but came up with no answer, that's when I asked. I might not even seen it on here but this is the only site I bookmarked. (I know, hind sight again) cyborg, They were just lil screws, no bolts. I'll be darn if I know what holes I missed putting the fenders back on,, and I looked. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be.

OH good grief!!!!! There's a hatch under the seat that lets me get to the carb. Ok, now I can put everything back together, then adjust the carb. I never read anything about the hatch.

Good grief boys, this is a night mare. I'm trying to adjust the carb and I've been taking parts off for 1/2 hour now. I got screws hiding under bolts that are under screws that have to be removed. I haven't even gotten to the turn signal reservoir yet to check the turn signal fluid.

Never mind, I got it. Just used a flat screw driver and was careful. I can see I'm not the first one to get this far on it tho.

Mornin Boys, I got the seat off and the screws out to where the side is loose but not sure how to disengage the side panel from the rear panel. How would I get them apart with out breaking and more clips?? The only part that is holding it together is at the seam.
