Is it normal for a trike to be a lil squirreley when backing up? The handle bars try to go left and right. The reason I'm asking is I heard this trike has been in a ditch and the handlebars are turned a little to the right. It does seem to ride ok, even at 61 MPH. I want to make sure it is safe for the Wife to go into town and back, it's just 35 miles round trip, altho she has mentioned she likes riding on the back.

Well Boys, thanks for the info. But for $30 I might as well get a new one. As long as it's the right one, I think I will be better off. I know it's not a 2 or 4 barrel, but in my 67 years I have never had a rebuilt carb, no matter if I did it myself or had a shop do it, that didn't have a flat spot in it some where. Some times it's better to go new.

I just seen that one is from e bay. I think I better buy from a company, that way if anything goes wrong I can send it back and get a new one. I know some people that sell on e bay, some are ok,,, some are not if you know what I mean....

I've read someplace that there are two different model carbs out there for the 150. How can I make sure this one is the right one for it? Is there a better place for me to buy one from a company closer to Kentucky that supports this forum?

update, at an idle, if I shake the trike from side to side, the darn thing will rev up. That's gotta mean something.
I also found out why the 90+ year old man quit riding it. He ended up in a ditch. As he GAVE it to my Wife, he told her 3 times to be careful and learn how to ride it before going to town on it. He drives a van that I'll bet a six pac the van has not seen 50mph in the last 5 years.

Mornin Boys, Thought I better start a new thread. I'm still having carburetor problems and need some input. Here's where I am. 1. I sprayed 1/2 can of WD 40 all over my carb when it was running and didn't get any response. (the idle never changed) If I had a leak sucking air, it would sped up. 2. If I snap the throttle open and let it close quickly, the motor will rev up but not snap back down for about 5 seconds. The throttle will close right away. Nothing is hanging up with the cable. I don't think the fuel filter had anything to do with this. 3. It starts right up but the idle will fluctuate up and down a lil no matter where I set the mixture screw. Do you think it's just time for a new carb? If the millage is correct on the dash, it has 00214.8 miles on it but it is an 09. (9-18-2009) It has been sitting, not used for over a year. The owner had a neighbor change the oil and tune it up close to a month ago. I know the neighbor and am betting he replaced the fuel filter too. He does good work. He is the manager of Fisher auto parts, so we KEEP on his good side. Is there an easy way to get the front side panel off, the one next to the gas tank, with out taking the back and foot panel's off???
