Our trike.

Our trike is an 09, we acquired it in December. It had 214.8 miles on it. We had snow in December, January and February. It was cold all the way up to May, so we didn't ride much. We now have 482.0 miles on it. Our lil trike is getting used, and we like it. On hot day's we'll take into town to get ice cream. Where ever we go, people comment on it. People will stop and look at it and smile, we can see them through the windows of where ever we are at. It sure gets better mileage then my old clunker. (63 chevy c-10)

Which mod?

I can't seem to be able to find any info and pictures using the search on variator and rollers weighs. Could you point me in the right direction? I want to see what I'm getting into and how to do it. I just read in another post where you said we should keep our rpm's down around 6200 for the life of the motor. I better start doing that.

Ok, it will hit and stay in the 7000's. I did get it into 8000's, 8300 at 61 mph is tops. All this was in a slight, very slight, down hill. It does take a bit of distance to get into the 7000's, (maybe 1/4 mile) but heck,, it is just a 150.

Ok, the first hill is steep and has 2 sharp turns in it. I am by myself and climbing. Click. The second only has 1 turn in it but is still steep. Again, by myself. Clicly. What's the verdict? (it's not easy driving with one hand and filming with the other)

Mornin Boys, I have a question for y'all. No matter where we go on the trike, we have hollers to get out of. By the time we get to the top of some holler's, we are down to about 25/30 MPH, we have some high hollers. What would be the cheapest, easiest, best mod to do to our 150 to be able to acquire and keep a higher speed? I don't believe the clutch is slipping, not even a lil. After I adjusted the carb to where it's not running lean, and when were doing about 25mph on the flats and I give it the throttle, I can feel it pull a heck of a lot more then before. Any ideas??

I just went and tried it again. It's nice. I just hit the starter and it starts, runs at 2100 and works it's way down to 1800. I'm happy. I buttoned it up and put the tools away.

It started about 3 days ago. It would not start with out giving it some gas and keep it reved up using the throttle. I would have to do that for about 1 or 2 minuets. If I shut it off for 5 minuets, I would have to go through the same thing. It would not stay running till it warmed up. The RPM's would start low and would pick up as it warmed up. We couldn't walk into a store and come back out with out sitting there with it running for the 2 minuets before we could leave. But it's back to normal and starting and running fine now.
