Hello. I recently purchased a 150cc motorcycle scooter hybrid. Many of us know how these manuals come with very little information and the maintenance schedule in it is very vague tells when ato do a motor oil change and gear oil change and not much more than that. Does anyone have a link to a really good recommend general maintenance schedule for scooters and motorcycles? Thank you.

If it's brand new it's probably because the carb needs to be adjusted. It will have a cap blocking one adjustment that you have to get out to adjust it. I had the same issue when mine was new out of the box

My motorcycle scooter hybrid gets a delivered tomorrow and I'm trying to find the best GPS tracker to hide on it in case it ever gets stolen. Anyone brand/company you suggest? Thanks!

I just purchased a Super Hornet which is a 150cc scooter that looks like a motorcycle.
Back when I had a 49cc Chinese scooter I remember adding oil not knowing what I was doing and then not realizing you're not supposed to mix two different kinds of oils. I had no idea what kind of oil was already in it so I kind of freaked out.
I asked the dealer who I ordered the Super Hornet through when I should change the oil and what kind to put in and they told me after the first 100 mile break in to change the oil and that they currently put 10w40 regular oil in it but I can change to synthetic after a thousand miles if I want. I was kind of surprised as I figured you were supposed to stick to one type. I live in Miami so the weather is always warm here. Are you supposed to use regular or synthetic oils in these types of scooter / motorcycles and does 10w 40 sound correct to you? I feel clueless. Thank you.

I would have thought solenoid too but it's weird those other things are not working as well. Maybe it's the starter. It's crazy how fast the 50CC scooters can break down. I think I started having problems that only a few hundred miles. I started learning how to fix my own on this message board years ago due to this. Hopefully those who know more than me can chime in. I know a starter replacement is a royal pain in the rear on these things. Sounds like some sort of faulty wiring issue maybe. I guess at this point I would try changing the spark plug and also charging up the battery and then go from there. When my starter button was not working in for the past it started working after I changed the spark plug then it started giving me problems again. I started using the kick start a lot but the kick eventually ended up breaking a so I know it's best not to rely on that for your everyday starting. Good luck. Scooter issues are so frustrating.

i know there has been some looking for the manuel for the super hornet i scanned it and uploaded it to google photos so anybody can download it.excuse the dark black and white, my scanner isnt the greatest. Schematics included.Enjoy Thank you for sharing the manual. I scanned part of an old 50cc scooter manual and it was absolutely hysterical with the super rough Chinese to English translation I started to skim through yours a bit and can see it's about the same. I never understood why they didn't give things like this to a native English speaker to edit before printing lol

Hey guys I haven't been on this form in years. I learned everything I know about fixing 50cc scooters from you guys so thank you again. I decided to search the word Super Hornet instead of making a whole new thread for it. I'm buying one soon. I just got my motorcycle license on Sunday so I'm more than ready to ride. Hoping to find others here with them to talk about issues upgrades mods whatever. Is this definitely a one-seater or can two people be on it? I know by law you have to have foot pegs for your passenger as well and I'm wondering if this has them also is the gas tank in front of you or behind you? I would love if the front part was actually storage and not a gas tank LOL. I plan on wrapping mine with a iridescent chameleon holographic looking wrap.. kind of like silver but when you look at it from different angles has a rainbow shine. Have any of you guys found a dealer who is good to work with? I don't know any local places that has this so it seems like I'm going to be shipping it in from some other state. Lastly I have a stupid question. I spoke to a dealership who said it comes pretty much all assembled you just have to take it out of the crate and have someone turn the engine over for me. What the hell does that mean? Are they talking just about priming the carb with some gas or something? He said it comes with oil but not gas. I'm assuming the oil should be changed and that's just some starter oil? Hmmm. Other than check it all over or possibly have my mechanic check it all over what else do I need to do when I take it out of the box? Did you guys have a hard time titleing this thing at motor vehicle? Sorry for all the questions

Hey T, I'm well; thanks. My little 50 is leaning against the wall, covered and crying because I haven't delt with it in months. Still need to replace valve stems so I can get air in the tires. About to finish up my studies to renew my certifications so after that's done scoter fixing is next on the list.. I'm thinking of moving from Miami to the Keys within the next few yrs so I'm looking ahead to getting a 150cc scooter. I can't take a little 50cc over bridges or areas were speed limit is over 30mph

geeze I never want to droppie a scooter, motorcycle or even my bike. lol. im having a hard time trying to find a dealer too. I just emailed the company. I heard it as a GY6 motor but I thought that's the crap motor I have. The jetski is doing good. I have to take her out at least every 3 weeks to drive around for an hour to charge up the battery so I don't kill it. She has a spot at a marina so no place to plug it into a trickle charger. It gives me an excuse to go play on it though. I'm trying to start going every 2 weeks then every week when I get more time freed up. Thanks for the heads up. So hunt for dealer AND how to get parts should I buy it Good too see you again too Alley

I'm coming out of hibernation and resurrecting an old thread at the same time. * shyly waves * I STILL haven't changed the valve stems on my 50 cc Chinese scooter and its been leaning against the house all sad looking. I've been thinking about getting my motorcycle license ( you can get them on scooter in FL - THANK GOD because I can't shift on a motorcycle or car for that matter ) I was searching under " automatic motorcycles " and " scooters that look like motorcyles " and came up with this. www.motobravo.us/MP-150-LKY2-Motorcycle.htmlwhich looks WAY better without all the dumb stickers... see.. But anyway.. I found his thread on scooter doc by searching " super hornet " and I briefly skimmed through the thread I THINK this is a Chinese scooter and after all the crap I've been trough with my Chinese scooters I'm afraid to get another but this thing is so darn sexy looking lol. I've seen other automatic motorcycles that cost a lot more but I think they are ugly. Any thoughts on this? I PM'd the guy who made this thread to see what he thinks of it as of now. If I end up getting this or any other new scooter or motorcycle I'll treat her right and not neglect her like the current bitch lol
