I removed the stator, but I got a lot of oil out from behind the cover. I want to send you a picture but I don't know how to upload it.

Good morning, I watched the video and tested the stator as the video shows. All 3 checks failed, one was -(negative) 8, one was negative.06 and the last one was negative 10. What's the next course of action?

Ok, so can you tell me how to check each of these wires? And what voltage I'm looking for? Thanks

Ok, I started the scooter and the tail lights were very dim. I disconnected the stator connection and put a multimeter on the left yellow wire and the neg (from the multimeter) on the wire that is horizontal in the connector while it was running, I reved it up to 4-5 rpm's. The meter jumped to 96vdc.

I was told by a scooter dealer that it is my charging system, I bought a voltage Regulator, rectifier and it still does the same thing. When it is started voltage is fine, after about 5 miles on the road it starts drawing off the battery. Then when you shut it off and try to restart it, the battery is dead

Thanks for the reply. Now I just need to know where the stator is. I'm looking on the left side at the long silver cover. Is it behind that? Everything I read tells me it's behind the cooling fan, but mine has an electric fan. And I don't want to just start taking parts off till I find it. I assume it's not on the right side, because the oil dipstick is there. Help......

Ok, thanks. If you could post a picture of a Jonway 250cc motor and put the location in red that would be great. Also I'm looking for a maintence manual for it. Thanks again

Hi, i have a 2008 shanghai shenke YY250T, the wife ran it out of oil last year and i had the replace the motor. after the motor was changed (with a used one) it kept eating batteries, we went through 3 of them and it left her sit at work, start fine in the morning but when she came out of work some 8 hours later it was dead...nothing. i had 3 different mechanics look at it and not a on could fix it. one mechanic said that once he gets it started and after it has run for awhile, when he tries to start it......nothing. Help please we are tired of buying batteries.
