AlleyoopI hate to pester you with something that I feel I should be able to handle. Sometimes you will be able to easily guide me to the problem. To refresh you as to what scooter is having the problem. 2012 Gorilla Motor Works V150 (ZNEN) just let me know if the vacuum system is involved with the tank venting or what. I honestly don't understand what comes into play with the vacuum on a small engine. Thank You Tom Tom

The guy that owned it for the past 29 years is a fixed wing pilot. The maintenance was done on it but I don't think it has been wiped down in 20 years

Yes My scooter brothers I have done it, 1986 Honda Helix, 3000 miles drove it home, needs the speedometer fixed and the body needs some work but it is solid! My Dad's friend drove it around Spruce Creek Fly in for its life, It has only had aviation fuel run in it for 29 years. I have a 2012 Gorilla Motor Works 150 with 400 miles on it that is getting sold. Honda is a whole different kinda ride, even 29 years old. I have got the fever even worse! I need to restore it ........HELP

I was reading an old post on the forum and they mentioned a safety switch on the kickstand, I ran out to the shed on a Sunday night and tried starting it with the stand up When that didn't work I went to hunting, found the switch, cut the wires and she fired and idled like a kitten, I had a aftermarket fan and shroud come in the mail today!I guess my phone wont post a pic, I will from home

tomtom, Guitarman, davec, tvnacman, cyborg, AlleyoopI am getting some different issues now that she is running, I think the bike was sitting for some time before I bought it. After it has been running for a while , lets say once it warms up she runs rough at times, feels to me like it goes lean and is starving for gas, To the point that it will stall, and after it sits a short while, 1 minute, it starts and runs fine.

tomtom, Alleyoop, stevenI bypassed the switch and the engine runs great, I got it all buttoned up tonight, I got rid of the bolts and screws that came with it and replaced them with Stainless, also the vacuum hoses seemed kinda cheesy and i had some good quality hoses with the same ID. I took her up to top speed, about 52 mph, I think 55 will be all she has with the wind at my back, that is OK by me, I love the way the transmission works, just one smooth gear. I intend to keep her maintained and end up with a reliable ride and hobby. Thanks for all the help, I will be pestering you in the future I'm sure Tom Tom

The safety switch on the kickstand was bad! I didn't even know that it had one, It runs great, it only has 280 miles on it so it is still breaking in, thanks Allyoop for walking me through ironing all the wrinkles out, I appreciate everything. Its storming out tonight so I wont get to ride it until tomorrow, I sill have only gone to the end of the driveway and back, It was looking like it could rain any second, Thanks Again!!! Tom Tom

AlleyoopI'm sorry to keep pestering you Alleyoop, My DC CDI came in today and still no spark. I don't know why I have been in denial that the pick up coil can be bad but I think that is the problem. I didn't do your test on the upper left wire that goes to the pick up coil until tonight. It doesn't read anything while the engine is turning over, when I just touch the start button and let it go it makes the meter jump, but if I leave the button pushed and keep turning the motor over.....nothing. That is with the meter on AC the red lead to the connector and the black lead to ground. If nothing else I am learning about the ignition system of the GY6!!!!
