On that carb the only hose is the DRAIN HOSE so kinked or not would not make a difference. The other hose is the OVERFLOW near the top of the carb and it is bent down. That carb is a pumper it has a pump on the throttle side when you twist the throttle so much it pushs the plunger down and it squirts some gas into the venturi. Alleyoop Actually, this carb included a fuel delivery line with an attached filter in addition to the lines you mention. I have since eliminated the cheap lines and used the factory fuel lines that were on the bike. Gave it a 1/4 then counter clockwise and it worked good on the shand. Wife went for a ride worked great. It cold soaked outside for a few hours and when we tried to start again it would not stay running. Had to leave it at a friend's house. I'm going to try another 1/4 counter clockwise turn tomorrow. I don't have a tach seting idle slowly until the rear when starts movin then backing slowly until it does not.

Needs more fuel, when it gets colder MOTORS need more fuel so turn the fuel ratio mixture screw COUNTER CLOCKWISE 1/4 at a time and start it up and see if it stays running if not turn it one more 1/4 turn Also how is the IDLE if it is low it will do the same thing it should idle around 1500 rpms and the rear wheel NOT SPINNING. Alleyoop Thanks Alley Found the cheap hose that came with the carb kinked. Removed it still dies. Going to try and richen the mixture.

Well..now the bike won't start when cold. It starts and runs for 30 sec and dies. Ran great this afternoon. Was able to start it warmed up and ran great again. Now is abit colder. Starts and dies. If i touch the throttle it dies immediately. Wondering if the carb settled after the initial install now running lean or rich. Not sure what to do.

Is this unsafe to ride like this? I did not think of it as a serious issue she slop is not rotatonal in nature. I will dig into this asap. No wife really wants her scooter back ?

Gentlemen, now that I got the scoot running smoothly there are small things that need my attention. First off is this handlebar play. It has a small movement from side to side, seesaw like. It seems to pivot in the center, left side down right side up. I can't see into the area very well and don't want to take all the plastics off if no necessary. Anyone have this happen before?

Thank you gentlemen, carb has been removed and replaced. It runs beautifully now. I'm going to wait until 300 miles to do the initial oil change. At that point I will change the fluids, spark and wash re-oil air filter. Could not have done this without your help.
I hope it continues to go smoothly.

Yes, I have seen this in aviation maintenance. They made the needle the size it should be. The cooper plate held the spring in place and it got plugged. The moment I saw the copper plate I knew I was in trouble. I hope the pictures helped out.

If you look at the last pic i sent that's what I did. The plug came out the screw face had been ground off.... Going to try but since it has no head vibration probably would back it off since it does not have a spring against the washer and oring... The new can comes with the new enrichner also that could have been my problem
Thanks for the help
