I moved on from the Jonway Victoria to a LaVita. Everything worked perfectly for the first couple of weeks, but all of a sudden VTC flashes on the display and the backlight flashes rythmically. I can't figure out how to reset it or what it's trying to tell me. The backlight normally flashes when the fuel is low, but it's not low. I've tried disconnecting the battery overnight and pushing every combination of the three buttons with no luck. It is running very well. Any ideas? Thanks.

Wow!! I can't believe how identical!!! That's amazing.. . I spoke with a scooter dealer in Tampa today, and he told me that he thought Jonway was a step above all the cheap Chinese scooters, but your post didn't give me this feeling... I've actually posted this thing for sale with only 300 miles on it because I don't want to get stuck with a dud.. Do you think it's worth keeping, or not? I got mixed messages from your post.

I appreciate the compliments and encouragement, for sure, but here in MA, in order to not have to register and insure it, it has to be 50cc.. If I bought a bigger scooter, I'd be in motorcycle territory and need a motorcycle endorsement on my license and have to license and insure it..
My transmission housing has IMS cast into it.. What does that mean? I'm certainly going to check for a spacer..

Wish you would have shown your speedo.. I'd like to know how fast you were going.

Hello again, all.. I had a moped as a kid and envied the rich kid in the neighborhood who had a Honda scooter... His was much quieter than ours and so much smoother and more reliable, and he didn't have to mix his gas and oil... Well, here I am 35 years later, and I bought a scooter of my own.. It's a strange scooter because I can't find another one like it! It's a 2012 50cc Jonway Victoria 2-seater with trunk. It's huge as 50cc scooters go, as you'll see in this picture.. My problem is that information is very limited on this scooter.. I heard from someone that Jonway got in trouble for some emissions problems and no longer sells in the states... Is that true? With the limited info available about this scooter online, I have some questions-the weight limit says 154 lbs.. I'm 260, so what does that mean for the scooter? Am I going to ruin something or just be slower? Also, what two people did they think were going to be riding this thing that would only total 154 lbs? I already asked the question about de-restricting it, as it's limited at 28 mph.. I'm hoping it has something to do with the variator on this model because I wouldn't want my engine revving any faster than it's already revving, being air-cooled and all.. How does Jonway rate as far as Chinese scooters go? I've never heard of them or dabbled in scootery. Here is a pic.. What do you think? I plopped my daughter on it so you could get an idea of the size of this 50cc beast. It has 301 miles it. Yes, 301. Paid $900 July 20.

Greetings, all. First post.
Did a search but came up with nothing so I'm asking. Forgive me if its been asked and answered.
I recently purchased a 2012 Jonway Victoria. It will be ridden on private property exclusively.
Can anyone tell me how to "correct" the governor that limits it at 28 mph? I think it's certainly capable of going faster than 28 even if it's only 50 cc. I'd like it to do 35-40.
Thanks in advance.
Something on this scooter actually cuts back engine power over 28. How do they accomplish that, and how do I correct it?
