I haven't posted for a while since we sold our scoots but when, I saw this I couldn't help but add a few words. Good work, man!! Just be sure to teach her proper braking habits. I started my wife out on a 250 similar to your 150 and she took to it like second nature. In 30 or so days she had her M endorsment and in a few months after that she was riding a Kawi Vulcan 500. In 8 months she put close to 14000mi on 2 scooters and the Vulcan so I moved her up to a Yam 650 Vstar. I'll add after getting past the jitters of her learning to ride, I learned, I couldn't have found a better riding buddy and enjoy watching her ride as much as she enjoys riding

They'll beat 50mpg. My 05 Majesty averages 66-68 and at times hits 72mpg. Bucking a strong wind will drop it into the low 50s

Thanks Luke. No I didn't sell my scoots, they're too much fun. I've had a string of luck, I guess you'd say finding them at bargain prices. This is actully the second bike in less than 2 weeks. A week and a half ago, I bought a nice 86 Suzuki Intruder for 850.00 and turned around and sold it in less than a week for 1100.00. I could've gotten more out of it but the guy flopped out a handfull of cash so I grabbed it. Heck, I didn't even get a chance to ride it.
scoots kind of spoil a guy to no shifting but it's a thrill feeling the power of a standard!!

Wildfires have been just about an every day deal here lately. It's getting unbelievably dry here and red flag warnings issued non stop. This past saturday, my wife, daughter and son in law, and I took a day trip to Alabaster Caverns state park a few miles south of Freedom Okla. about 140mi one way. When we stopped for lunch the thermo on my majesty said 94deg. That was about 12:30. When we left the caverns about 4:30 we fought 60+mph side winds and 96deg temps. It was an interesting trip home to say the least.

mcalli, Panhandle of Oklahoma. My wife and I rode a 750 Honda custom to Paulding Oh, back in 84 to visit my bro and sis in law. Pretty country up there. The winters here are some what mild, but there are a few years that get ugly. This past winter we had alot of up and down temps at times unusually warm 70s and then near 0 highs for a few days. A really strange winter. I think the last measurable moister we had was back in Nov. It's getting ugly here to say the least.

No problems with spring arriving here. 96 was the high sunday. We're having problems getting moisture of any kind here. Record highs, no moisture, and high winds = wildfires. Thats been our biggest problem.

Welder by trade, but when I have time, I work on cycles and atvs for people. Even an occasional lawn mower

Off the Majesty forums of course lol. 30yrs ago I wouldn't have had a second thought about doing it myself, but I don't heal as well anymore.

Thanks and blue is faster! I think it's the angle of the pics cuz they're pretty close to the same size. It's easy to see once you see them in person that Yamaha had alot of influence in the design. Quite a few similarities.......Jim
