No problems with spring arriving here. 96 was the high sunday. We're having problems getting moisture of any kind here. Record highs, no moisture, and high winds = wildfires. Thats been our biggest problem.

okiescoot, where do you live, Southern California, the desert in arizona? Seems to me like you are describing summer, not spring. While we in the colder areas are awaiting and looking forward to mild temperatures which are perfect for scooting, I can honestly say I am not ready for 96 degree weather yet. As much as I hate winter, I love living in an area that experiences mild springs and falls. Enjoy all that heat. We will get it here soon enough.

mcalli, Panhandle of Oklahoma. My wife and I rode a 750 Honda custom to Paulding Oh, back in 84 to visit my bro and sis in law. Pretty country up there. The winters here are some what mild, but there are a few years that get ugly. This past winter we had alot of up and down temps at times unusually warm 70s and then near 0 highs for a few days. A really strange winter. I think the last measurable moister we had was back in Nov. It's getting ugly here to say the least.

We had a cold front come thru last night. The temp dropped to a bone chilling 63 degrees. :-)

You're right, Hot and dry- very ugly. Flboyjohn, I don't want to here it. Are you on the coast of florida and which side? At least we don't have hurricanes here. Of course we do have tornado's and I wouldn't want to try to out run one on my scoot!

Hey Mcalli, I have inlaws just across the border in PA. I must say that going through Ohio, your state has the most State Troopers I have ever seen. My God woman, there must have been a trooper every 5 miles. What is that about?

My God woman, there must have been a trooper every 5 miles. What is that about? Was it the last couple of days of the month when you were traveling thru Ohio? They try to zap as many people as they can on the last couple of days of the month to make up for not applying themselves the rest of the month. Now, try to find a state trooper any other day of the month when you need them? They are nowhere to be found.

Yes, as a matter of fact, just about everytime I have been out has been towards the end of the month or a holiday weekend.

Wildfires have been just about an every day deal here lately. It's getting unbelievably dry here and red flag warnings issued non stop. This past saturday, my wife, daughter and son in law, and I took a day trip to Alabaster Caverns state park a few miles south of Freedom Okla. about 140mi one way. When we stopped for lunch the thermo on my majesty said 94deg. That was about 12:30. When we left the caverns about 4:30 we fought 60+mph side winds and 96deg temps. It was an interesting trip home to say the least.
