Hi Everyone,
I recently did an engine swap on my Tao Tao Scooter (prev engine had a cracked engine block and was leaking oil). The new engine is also a 139QMB engine. I bought a brand new 18mm PD18J Carb for it as well hoping to avoid any further issues.
Once I swapped the old engine and put on the new carb, the scooter Idles great, but it takes a while for it to accelerate off the line. Almost feels like it is running Rich and bogging down. (does this going up hills as well)
Before I remove and exchange the jets, I've read a few times online that new engines have a "break in period" and was just wondering if that is something that will get better as I continue to run the new engine and "break it in."
ALSO - I live in Denver where we are at 5,000+ Ft above sea level. I've read online that a re-jet is crucial as you gain elevation...
Any help is much appreciated!

I am having trouble patching a crack/leak in the bottom case of my engine. I'm not very advanced with the actual motors on these 50cc GY6 engines, so I dont know exactly how to best describe this issue.
In General, there is a black case that surrounds the bottom of the engine. When i take off that case, it exposes the bottom part of the engine.
This is where my leak is coming from. I've tried to fix it with JB Weld, but it always seems to find my little cracks from not being perfect.
Does anyone know what I should search for to replace this lower portion of the engine? Is it something I can easily order online? Or am I looking at having to replace the whole engine?
This engine has only 1k miles on it, so i'd love to keep it as it runs well, just leaks oil anytime I run it.
NOTE: the leak was caused from my little brother taking it full speed off of a speed bump near our home. Not sure if he cracked the engine block or what exactly.

It is hard to say as I replaced the carb with a performance carb, the gas line, air intake line (to fuel pump), ignition coil, solenoid, spark plug and starter.
After I replaced all of that, I started it up and it proceeded to idle, but bog down when I was riding and went above 15 mph.
Does that help you at all?
Thanks for your help.

Hey All, I have restored a 2007 50cc Gy6 Chinese scooter (ROKETA) and it is idling perfect at this point. However, when i take it out and "gun it" to get up speed, it bogs down and eventually kills. Am I flooding it with too much gas? Is there something I should focus my attention on when trying to fix this? The main change I've made lately is going to a performance air filter and removed my old "box on the side" air filter. Does that have anything to do with it? (too much air to gas ratio??) Any help is much appreciated. Read more: scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/13591/50cc-idles-boggs-goes-mph?page=1#ixzz4t43MtGfq

I have a 50cc Chinese Scooter - Roketa Maui - 50ST
I noticed that the speedometer gauge and gas gauge are not working, however, the blinkers and the "bright headlight" icons light up when I hit either direction or turn on my bright headlight.
My question is this - do I need to replace the whole speedometer plate, or since the blinkers are lighting up on the dash, is it something I need to address on the speedometer cord (that connects to front wheel) and possibly replace the fuel sensor itself?
Any help is much appreciated.
