Was that piece attached to the scooter somewhere, or just hanging loose? I'm guessing that it is some sort of remote bowl drain. I haven't seen anything that looks like that part, but I'll have to look more closely, tomorrow. Can I just plug up that hose? Will that harm anything?

I have been working on this scooter that has been sitting for a couple of years. Pulled the carburetor and cleaned it, thoroughly. Idle jet was a little clogged, but all else seemed good. Float needle valve moved freely. I tried to start it for the first time, today, and fuel was leaking from the carburetor drain hose. This hose was cut off when I bought the scooter, so I just replaced it with a length of fuel hose. There is no screw to open or close the drain, as far as I could see. I've read that some of these carburetor drain hoses actually hook up to some sort of port. Mine is just hanging freely. I realize that the valve may not be seating completely, but all seemed good when I cleaned it. Any thoughts? Thanks, in advance!

Please forgive my ignorance! I'm working on a JCL MP-150A that has been sitting for years. Both left and right master cylinders are shot. I've purchased the right (front) master cylinder, but the company didn't have the left (rear) one. I am having the hardest time finding the rear master cylinder! Mine have the banjo bolt coming out of the bottom of the brake fluid box. Several of the ones that I see for sale have the banjo bolt coming out of the back of the box. If the measurements are the same (especially the handle bar measurement and banjo bolt thread measurement), will I be able to use this in place of my frozen original master cylinder, even though the banjo bolt is in a different location? Is it better for me to simply look for a rebuild kit? Thanks!

I'm working on a 2007 JCL MP-150A. It's been sitting for a few years. The pistons on both left and right master cylinders are stuck. I figure it would be best just to purchase 2 new ones since they seem fairly inexpensive, but I don't know where to buy them. I've seen several on Ebay, but am afraid of purchasing the wrong thing, as they don't specify my scooter. Any ideas? Thanks.

You have been a tremendous help! Just one more question...on picture #2, next to the drain hose, is that a port for another hose, possibly to go to the smaller port on the bottom of that canister? The guy that I bought if from told me that it wouldn't idle well (it was surging...it would idle, then speed up, then idle, then speed up) and had a vacuum leak (bad line, according to him), so he started unhooking a couple of hoses, and eventually just stopped fooling with it. It has been sitting for a couple of years. Thanks, again, for your help and patience!

Thanks for the quick response! I've tried to attached 3 pictures. I don't know if they will show up, or not. Anyway, in the image of the canister, there is a large nipple and small nipple on the bottom side. The large nipple can be seen in the picture. The small one is hidden. there are 2 hoses connected to the top of the canister, so I'm assuming they're ok. In the picture of the bottom of the carburetor, the hose that is shown isn't connected to anything. This may be a drain hose. The other port has no hose connected. I don't know what that hose would connect to. The third picture shows a hose coming from what I think is the valve cover. It isn't connected to anything on the other end.

Well...it showed that my pictures were downloaded, but they're not showing up. I'll keep trying!

Thanks for the quick response! I am having trouble attaching images. I had written a detailed explanation of my 3 pictures, and can't get them to show up. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello! I'm so happy to have found this forum! I hope you can help me! I just purchased a 2007 JCL MP-150A (It also has YY150T-12 on it). I bought it from a friend who told me that the vacuum lines would probably need to be replaced. Well, now that I've begun to assess the situation, I can see that many of the lines are completely missing! I have no idea where to begin! I can see a canister with 2 nipples on it, but have no idea what to hook to it! Other lines are connected at one end, and disconnected at the other. Is there any place where I can get a detailed manual that will show where vacuum lines and fuel lines need to go? Thanks, in advance, for the help!
