I think I finally found the instructions for removing or bypassing the emissions, but the photos don't show up. Photobucket wants me to pay $400 for third party hosting in order to see the photos. Any way around this?

I've checked the library section, and can't seem to find any step by step instructions for removing emissions equipment. Could you point me a little closer to the location within the library? Sorry for the trouble!

Is it possible to completely bypass the charcoal canister on my scooter? If so, what do I do with the lines that currently connect to it? It has 2 lines connected to the bottom of the canister, and 2 lines connected to the top.

I've been working on my 150cc scooter for a while, now. It is a 2007, but has been sitting up for years, so it only has 750 miles on it! I had to replace both brake master cylinders, changed all fuel and vacuum hoses, and just put on a new carburetor. I thought I had adjusted the idle mixture screw correctly, adjusting it slowly until it reached peak speed. The vacuum hoses are connected via the original configuration, using the charcoal canister and all. It is difficult to start. It will idle for about a second, then quit. After 6 or 7 tries, trying to twist the throttle quickly before it dies, I can finally twist the throttle and get it running. The idle speed seems fine. Once I get it started, it runs great. I can go to start it a few hours after running it, and it starts right up. If I wait overnight, however, it is difficult to start once again. Any thoughts? Could my mixture screw still need adjusting? Should I scrap or plug up any of the vacuum hoses? If so, which ones?

On my JCL M150-A, the left side mirror rattles a lot. I was able to pry off the outer rim, and can see a missing screw which attaches the mirror to the back of the mirror base. I can't seem to find a way to get in there to get that screw back in. How do I go about opening that case and getting the mirror secure? Is there any way to pull the mirror from it's ball joint? Thanks!

Putting the finishing touches on my JCL MP-150A. Bought it from someone, after it had been sitting for a few years. The floor mat is pliable, but seems to have shrunk over time. It is about 1/4" too short. I get one side of the nipples in, and when I move to the other side, I have to pull so much that the other side comes loose. I really don't want to have to put more money into this bike. Any suggestions as to how to maybe stretch the rubber floor mat a little bit? Thanks!

WEll, I gave up. Had to run some errands, so I came back after about an hour or so, and it fired up right away. Maybe some of the leaked fuel dripped down and caused a temporary short or something....I have no idea, because it wouldn't even click! Good news is it is running, and I managed to find the leak! Thanks for the help!

Thanks. I actually found the carb drain valve still attached to the underside of the scooter. I cleaned the carb, started it up, and saw a small gas leak. Turned it off so that I could get to the other side and inspect it closer. Went to start it, and nothing! Brake lights and turn signals work, but it won't crank at all! Battery is new, and the 2 battery fuses look ok. I don't know where to even begin!

One step forward, 2 steps back! Working on a scooter that has been sitting for a few years. Got it started yesterday, but it had a fuel leak. Pulled the carburetor today and cleaned the jets. Got it all back together, and it still had a leak. I stopped it, so that I could get down close to the carburetor as I turned it over. Now, it doesn't turn over at all. Brake lights and turn signals work, but it doesn't even crank. Battery is new, and both battery fuses look ok. Any thoughts? Are there any other fuses that I may be missing? Don't know where to start. Thanks!
