New sliders arrived in two days and as Mike said they don't include the U slides. I must admit service was fast. Scoot all back together and this time it runs great. At least in the garage. Hope to take it out on Sunday when the rains finally ends here.

Alley, you are right. I have ordered two sets of Dr Pulley sliders and both sets had the U slides with them. Mine were stapled to the box. When I asked Mike about the U slides he said they don't come with the sliders and are something that needs to be special ordered.
I'm not sure if Dr Pulley is cutting costs or what. If you are going to change your sliders you should have new U slides to go with them.

Mike from buggyparts nw .com emailed this moring to let me know my sliders were sent yesterday via UPS. On his voice mail he says if you email him he will get back to you in 20 minutes. I emailed him twice and I must admit he broke the 20 minutes to reply. Very happy with them.

I've done business with them and they are prompt and sell a great product. Shipping takes time, but the prices are good and there is no big rush to change out bulbs for LED's.

I ordered my Dr Pulley V or U slides from Absolutely Scooters on Saturday and received them on Tuesday. Now that was fast. I did notice a change in the slides on the 250 54B it takes a S7 slide which has metal inside of the slide. The ones I was sent had the same number S7, however it didn't have any metal inside of the slide and it was a not as heavy or thick as the ones I had to replace.

I ordered my Dr Pulley sliders from Mike yesterday. What I am finding out is Dr Pulley does not include the U clips with their sliders. I've purchased so far two sets of Dr Pulley sliders and both times they came with the U clips. Not this time. This does present a problem if one or more of your clips break.

Ahhh still pretty nice in SC. I just looked at the 7 day forcast and the temp will be in the mid 50's to lower 60's by the weekend. Good luck with the storm and stay safe.

Alley I sure lucked out on this one. I figured at best I would need to purchase 8 new sliders to get the clips, but they sell the clips as well. A variator is expensive for a 250 and I sure didn't want to shell that much out at this time.

Alley, Absolutely Scooters has just the clips and I just received a tracking number. The 8 sliders are not damaged and all is cleaned up.

Well some good news the only damage was to the 4 clips. 3 out of 4 were destroyed. I cleaned up the variator and there was no damage to it or to the sliders. The belt looks brand new and it has 2500 miles on it. No doubt Gates makes the best belts. I ordered new clips from Absolutely Scooters and within a few days I should be back on the road. I was certain the noise was coming from the clutch. Just shows what you think you hear maybe coming from somewhere else.

Well what sounds like the clutch was now the variator. Here are two pictures of what's left of it. Any suggestions on what is savable or replace the whole thing. Need to something ASAP. The only damage I can see is the 4 clips. Sliders look good but need cleaning as does the inside of the variator.

I know the contra spring isn't removed. What I need to know in relationship of that nut what needs to be removed with a knife to lube the front clutch bearing.

OK, when I remove the bell there is that huge nut which holds down the contra spring. What should I be looking for to remove with a knife? With the clutch off and in the back is the needle bearing exposed? One last question is it possible to keep the belt in place while doing this. I know I need to remove the fan, but I've had problems getting the pulley pulled out so the belt will drop.

Doc, so I am removing the entire clutch from the scooter to lube the front and back bearings? Also remove fan from variator?
