Hello all. Got an interesting question for you. Did some work to my Clutch and Variator and apparently i did not tighten the CVT bolts good enough (lol, i know i know. swore i did). Any who, i am missing one of the bolts but i am unsure as to the correct one I need for my cover. i see some listed as Short Case and Long Case. Can someone point me in the right direction. Please feel free to point and snicker, yes, i am a doofus.

Nice. I have friends in Knox and also thought about driving up there from Atlanta. How long was the actual drive?

Have another question for the 250-B /YY250T owners. Looking to upgrade the stock windshield to a more sturdy taller one. I've seen posts about a Givi and Cee Bailey replacements but I can't seem to find it available. The wind noise is really bad with the wind going straight into my face shield. Anyone have a preference or know where I can find one?
Thanks.

Yes but dont they always need "something" done? Put an email out to Mainley Scooters asking about his Torque Springs/Clutch Springs. Hoping I'll hear back from him soon.

Excellent stuff. Thanks Bashan.
Yeah the clutch problem seems to be common with the YY250T. The pads on the arms heat up and get slick, causing them to slip until higher rpms. It's very annoying after a long ride in stop and go traffic.

Evening all,
Looking to do some upgrades/modifications to Serenity soon and I need some guidance/advise. I've got some new tires coming but I want to upgrade some clutch and variator parts while I'm in there...
Sliders - I want to drop a few grams to improve higher rpms but not sacrifice too much top end. Any advise/info on a good weight to drop to would be much appreciated. I was looking at 18s? (I weighed them the last time I opened her up, I think they were 21g.)
Clutch Springs - I'm still getting low rpm vibrations from the arms not catching the clutch bell good enough (glazing). Would using lower tension springs help the arms engage faster? If so, what's a goos place to get some for a 250cc? I can only seem to find them for 50cc.
Handles/Grips - would like to get something more comfortable, maybe anti-vibration, not sure what size/length to get.
Brakes - about 1500 miles in and they are starting to squeak and get harder to stop. What kind do I need for upgrades? Is there good brand to get?
Thanks all. I appreciate any/all info.

Hello all. The other day after about 45 mins of riding I pulled away from a red light and the scoot vibrated so bad I thought something was going to fall off. It cleared right up around 15-20 mph but every stop after that it was the same thing. I checked the valves when I got home and they sounded fine. It dosent do it when I first start riding, at least nowhere as bad.
Anyone else have this happen? Anyone got a fix?
Thanks for any info.

I ordered a 2011 Roketa 250B/Jonway YY250T from them and the hoses were better than I was expecting. They were in good shape and stamped (not sure if it was legit or not) and tightly fastened. Electrical had some grounding issues, they had them connected to painted surfaces and not bare metal.
The fluids still need to be changed after you uncrate it, just to be safe. They did install a NGK spark plug during the PDI.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks. Soon as the scooter arrives and I take some measurements I whip them up and let you know when they are done.

Hey drjeff. I wanted to "badge" my scooter with a custom emblem in the front and the model name on the right and left sides. Front would be a 4x4 ish size. Sides maybe 10-12 inches x 2 in high? Think this is something you can do? I can whip up something in photoshop file. Not sure if you can use that or not.
Plan is if I like the design, make a mold and cast them in resin and paint so they look legit...and original.
Thanks.
