hello all, assumed i would start another thread for different problem, my jonway yy250t will start up with no problem, BUT when started i cannot not give it throttle right away (it will bog down and shut off), what i need to do is let the bike run for a minute or 2 and you can hear it pick up idle THEN it will allow me to gas it with throttle and it responds at that point but NOT before bike idles up 1st (if idle up is correct termonology) on its own...what can cause this problem? Thanks in advance.

They build wiring harnesses that are for many different bikes so there will be unused connectors.....don't worry about them. You can have partially shorted coils on one or more of the phases (phase=yellow wire) especially on bikes that have sat. The symptom of this is voltage drop on a yellow wire as the RPMs increase and the electromagnetic field starts to jump the thin spot(s) on the wire insulation. Put a multi in series on each yellow to ground set on AC and watch the value. If it tanks with RPM that's your problem. The solution is a new stator or rewind the old one. Rich ...............
Re: this post, can you please show diagram on the testing of the (yellow=phase) wires? this will tell me if stator is good correct? and if the yellow wires show a problem cuz of insulation issues the stator will need to be changed as well??

hello all, its me again, now i have changed diode, rectifier and even cleaned the stator, and my battery will NOT hold a charge, lol i took the battery to a battery co. today and they said it was no good left there and took it to Autozone and they said its good. (GO FIGURE) now it just hit me, with my ignition off key out, should the clock display be on?? also re:clock when i do jump bike and ride or run it for a few minutes the clock stays at 12:00 never changing time and again i can read the display (12:00) even when key is out, sorry think i included 2 issues here, but i think clock may be a part of initial problem as well...remember my ignition wires to loom have been cut and maybe reconnected wrong.....thanks in advance for any help.

Hello and thanks to "JUSTBUGGIN", i understand that the wiring that comes from the ignition switch can affect the charging system, well my plug from ignition has been cut on both ends neither plug is there just wires. can someone please tell me which 2 wires from ignition side ties together, and or what colors go to what colors, looks like only 2 wires may be of same color on either end? i think i have 4 wires coming from switch and 3 wires on the other end. having a problem reading the wiring diagram, when it shows the Antitheft remote device, is this the alarm and remote starter box. wiring dia. shows RED, GREEN, BLCK/WHTE,,WHICH COLOR IS THE WIRE THAT THE DIA. SHOWS WITH FUSE ATTACHED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

2 plugs, 3 pins each plug, is there a way to know or find out if the diode is bad?? and can the rectifier alone be the reason battery is not charging?? thanks in advance
