Well it appears you have a Fuel Delivery problem. What beside the Stator did you remove or try to adjust. Check for Air Leaks around the Carb,by the Clamps where it attaches to the Intake and as well by the Air Filter side, Cracks in the Intake Manifold, or hose going to the Air Filter, maybe a Vacuum hose came off or is leaking. Also when was the last time you adjusted the Valves, they do tighten up and will cause the motor to loose compression and will effect the amount of air and fuel it sucks in. If it has some miles on it and you have not adjusted the valves that is the FIRST thing you want to do. Most will mess with the Carb and try to compensate the lack of air and fuel due to tight valves. Then when you adjust the Valves you AGAIN have to re-adjust the Carb because now it is way off. If you need to adjust them adjust the TOP INTAKE VALVE to .004 inches and the BOTTOM EXHUAST VALVE to .005 inches. Alleyoop I have a whole 67 miles on it. I'll check for loose hoses. The only thing I've touched is the muffler and the side cover. I may just bite the bullet and take it to a local scooter repair shop. He said he had worked on a few of these. All it will cost is some money. The tach says I've got 1.5 hours on the engine.

I got as replacement stator while on vacation. Put it in yesterday. Went out this morning and put the muffler on. Filled the tank with some 93 octane gas. Tried to start it. It finally started but would only idle at 1,200. I gave it some gas and it died. Started it up and same thing. Looked at the gas filter and noticed it wan't full it had just a little bit of gas in it. Anyone know where the wire from the gas pump goes? I wonder if I have a bad connection? I sure hope 2012 is better for me and my trike.

John: Yep that's my thought exactly. I'm busy right now though doing a cold weather snow dance for Florida so that Mike can actually understand the plight of the rest of us. However all in all I'm still warmer than Alleyoop so ain't all bad. Hey Al maybe you can get a washing machine box and put two holds in so you can see and then you'll be enclosed in that cold weather. I was going to put a bathroom heater on mine but I only have a 100 foot extension cord and that won't get me to the store. vr, Lee Leave us Florida guys alone. Prior to Fl I lived in CT, VT, Chicago land, upstate NY so I know cold. Woke up at age 61 and took an opportunity in sunny FL. Not our fault you cold climate clowns haven't woken up yet. Can't wait for the stator to show up so I can brag about riding in December. I may miss Dec. riding since we go to CA + Vegas next week but I will ride in Jan. When I lived in upstate NY if the roads permitted I rode Dec 31 and Jan 1. Now I'll be able to do it and not have to bundle up. ;D ;D

I got a regulator from him he does not do stators he suggested Custom Rewind in Birmingham, Alabama 800-798-7282 wrote he had heard good things about them. I am waiting on a stator from IB. May have my old one done as a spare. On the regulator I now have 4. 1 is on the trike (OMP) the 1 I took off, 1 replacement from IB and 1 I had bought in a parts kit when I first ordered the trike ( I forgot about it) They make nice Xmas gifts. Order now and I guarantee it to arrive in time for the holidays. This is a special internet offer you will not find this offered on TV or in your local stores. Offer good until supplies run out. All moneys collected will be used to feed Mojo and Gracie.

Cover is off. Stator comes off with it. Too easy at this point. Waiting for the hammer to fall.

I dumped the oil and all of this came out. What is sequence? Spring then plug followed by plug? As the plug I released from the case I saw the screen then everything got covered with oil. I ended up with just the plug in my hand. Screen and spring were in the catch tray. Is this how it goes back?

Step 1 of the stator removal is done the muffler is off. Exhaust ID is .9 inches one of the extended flange hit the frame I'll need to grind it down. Step 2 drain oil. Step 3 remove cover. Found no gasket available it's on back order got be careful taking the cover off.

My man Jim says based on my readings it's the stator. Now I need to figure out how to get the old one out. Maybe I'll send mine out for a rebuild and hold the factory replacement as a backup. So who rebuilds them and how much? Does anyone sell a better one? I hate to wait for a rebuild. Who has replaced theirs in one of these engines? It looks like the muffler will have to come off. The stuff I see on YouTube shows taking of the flywheel. Will I need a puller? I have a wheel puller would it be strong enough? More fun to be had. I may change a bunch of the wiring plugs while I got he time. I doubt it will be back on the road till after the new year. Holiday time will be really busy for us this year.
Forgot, replacement battery for the new one I bought is on the way.
