Yeah,I feel that I was lucky this time Justin,I couldn't sell it with a clear consience unless I get it fixed first. I've got my 4 other 50s if I want to ride locally. I know that I'm gonna have to take the body panels off and remove that cross bar and see if it can be fixed or a stouter one built with a heavier quality bearing system. I guess I'll just have a 6000 dollar science project to explore and learn on.

Yeah New2scootn, I just had enough, all together this summer I've spent over six grand for the bike plus maint. and this last thing almost got me killed going down a very steep river hill in an S curve, the rear tire was leaving black marks that resembled a sindwinders tracks in the sand and I barely missed the gaurd rail and I was even going 10mph under the speed limit for that curve. I then had to limp home 16 mi. at 25mph. the motor and tranny are excellent, but, nothing on that frame is safe Imo. Might even think about transplanting the motor to something else.

As of yesterday,I have to say that I wished that I bought a honda motorcycle or scooter rather than the POS that I did buy. I can honestly say now that I truley do not like my bike. It is a Sunny 300cc rev trike that cost me 5000.00 new in march, has less than 800 miles on it,has been ridden gently ridden, has had it's regular maintanence checks. it has been down most of the summer due to a violent shimmy and overheating that just seemed to go away by it'self this week, now It's DOWN again because of the bushings in the frame that hold the motor to the crossmember are wore out and the whole motor\wheel\tranny wag frome side to side so bad that it makes you go sideways in the curves. I'm sorry but,for five grand I want something I can drive right away and not have to TWEAK and WRENCH on until I've gotten some good wear out of it. I've noticed that on this and other forms that the same trike has given everyone that owns them similar problems. cheap shoddy parts and poor workmanship.Maybe it's just this brand but as of now I wish that I would have gotten a Japanese brand.

Ahhh,I only looked at mine after seeing justin's post, but you know? I never tried to see if I could spin them. Thanks again guys,I'll post the results tommorow. I just took mine for a 40 mi. ride tonight and the shakes that I once had are still gone but I don't know what fixed them.

Thanks to you new2scootin and justincredible and Alleyoop info and it's so cool how all of you spread the knowledge, I commend all of you. I also have noticed that the welding on these bikes are at best second rate and some welds are incomplete and have gaps in them and BENT pieces have been welded on with a sharp end sticking up in some places that I intend to redo and reinforce. I still love my bike very much, but the fact that the quality control is nill is a blaring fact. I also want to get the newer speedo very badly,I'll have to check the price.might have to save up after I get the bugs out. I learned to flush out the cooling system and changenthe air filter frome here. You guys are great. daddue.

Whew, I just used the metric conversion and I was going just under 70. I couldn't hold it for long though because I had my half helmet on and my eyes were burning like heck. Plus to many people coming out of the side dirt roads. SCARY stuff Mainard.
I'm sorry if I took over your post Justincredible, I'm just hoping that I can help. daddue

Looking at it more this morning, I have a little movement with both right and left front bushings. The left front seems to have a little more play with it though. Here is the pic of the left front bushing I am suspecting may be the culprit. Notice the circled area is showing a space where there shouldn't be any space. Justin,I went outside and compared your pic to my bushing and there are no gaps in mine and no grease coming out the sides. I'm gonna go down to the gas station and air up my back tire first and ride it on the highway to see if that's the problem child. Just got back from that test.... I aired the back tire up at 55lbs. as it states on the tire and absolutely NO shaking up to 112 kmph (I forgot my gps). I have to go to a cookout now so I'll do each of the front tires seperate later tonight or tomorrow. ride safe, but, have fun my friends. daddue.

Hey fellow Roadrunners. The strangest thing happened to me today,I went on a aprox 70 mile ride on Liberty today and I thought the ride felt a little squishy in the corners. I was waiting for her to start shaking violently at around 51.5 mph but there was just a little shake at 48mph but then it would go away at 51mph and I could kick it up to as fast as I wanted without any shake. I have no Idea why it cleared up like that,I do know that it set for almost a month?? the only thing that was different about it was the squishier ride in the tight corners but it was not a nuisence. I did notice that when I checked the tire pressure after the ride that all of the tires were about 3 lbs low on tire pressure, I wondere if that dampened whatever was making the shake and also why it seemed a little squishy Don't know for sure, but whatever it was it made for a lot more pleasant ride except in the really tight corners where it seemed a little squishy. I know this probably won't help y'all any,but I hope it does. Tommorow I'm gonna put the correct tire pressure and see how THAT changes the handling. ride safe my friends.

I've got an old Magellan Meridian Gold hand held gps with the large screen and I bought the handlebar mount with the case from gpscity online. It shows up perfect in the daylight and you can adjust it how you want, but I also have the bare handlebars space.

I was just wondering, I remember when you got it and thought it was so cool looking. Oh yessir, I'm still in love with her and I still love the way she looks. I love the wide, low stance like a cruizer and honest to God comfort of that big wide cushy seat mm mm mm. I still have to sit and talk to people asking questions every time I stop at a store or gas pump. She's still a stunner.
