I'm sorry friends, I just read my post and I need to state that it was New2scootin that made the discovery about the unbalanced wheel. that post was in the Trikes section, the stuff he's done with his trike so far is unremarkable and he's a class act. I think between him, justincrediblem and myself, we just may get any and all bugs outta these Roadrunners, that is if I start doing my part.lol

Who ? mine? If you're talking about Liberty,my 300 Roadrunner, She's running absolutely perfect. Still Zippy and starts the first time and she has all the power that she had at first,BUT, the handeling, now THAT'S a different story. She has developed a bad shake at around 51-55 mph and I haven't had the time nor money to take her to the good shop to get it figured out,I had her to a couple locals here but they just made it worse. BUT, A few of us here have the same scoot and I think we've come up with a possible answer, A very unbalanced rear wheel. I still haven't had the time off to have mine checked ,but as soon as I can I'm gonna have the balance of all the wheels checked. It always seems that when I have plenty of money I never have any days off and visa verse. Go figure.

Great pics and info New2scootn,First thing I'll have checked is the balance on ALL the wheels. I think someone here or another site said that the rule of thumb was if it felt like the front end that means it's the back and vice versa. Thanks again friend.

I've got it , I really think that I have come up with a few things for a few of us that may get the blues from time to time and need some cheering up, kinda like some warm fuzzies or some pics or videos of rides where someone writes your name on a piece of cardboard and takes pictures of it on a ride with them and some friends or something. It would be really Neat to see a bunch of scooterists together having a toast to someones name that needs cheering up. Or wouldn't it be absolutely cool to see your username and happy birthday being held by a snowman or on a rock by the river or in a rowboat ?? Maybe a pic of one person fishing and a pole with your name setting by them ??
You don't even have to know the person on this site,it's just a suggestion to anyone that might wanna cheer someone up. O.K. that's my Corny Idea. Now go cheer someone up. daddue11

Hey, With that seat on there it does look kinda tuff and actually,, unlike some women I've known it even looks good undressed.lol But in all seriousness ,I'll let you guys in on whatever I find out about my Roadrunner , be it by a mechanic or by myself , I've not had a free minute to even ride it the last couple of months let alone wrench on it. We've been restaffing at my work so I'm not only the director at 2 places but also the training instructer also. Great staff members but free time is at a minimum. Thanks for the pix and the news sirs.

Thank You new2scootn. I'm not sure if they are the stock tires or not. The scooter was drop shipped directly from Sunny. I had to tighten everything in the front end to get rid of a bad wobble. The bike has quite a bit of vibration just idling. The vibration seems to lessen as you get up to speed but comes back at 50+ mph. I had some issues in the very start of the bike shutting off and hard to start back up then with 365 miles on her it died and wouldnt start back up. The problem was a bad ignition coil. I also noticed the first 100 miles my speedometer was acting real erratic. It has not acted up since. I've got 570 miles on the bike and so far so good. I do get a bad wobble when slowing down but it goes away when I get back in the throttle. I also have the wobble or fishtail as I call it when I let off the throttle abruptly and it goes away when I apply the throttle again, must be a design flaw. It's absolutely great being on a site with two other Roadrunner riders. daddue

Ah man!!! I can't get those pics to show up, I'd love to see what OUR sunnies look like naked. I've often wondered that myself. must look strange as long and wide as they are.

They said nothing is bent, but, that was the banana heads at this local street vendor sales and shop. they told me it would be fine and just don't drive it over 50mph,in other words theys a buncha quacks. If I can get a day off this coming week I'mm gonna take it to my dealer in springfield,I'm sure they will get it lined out. I still have the utmost confidence in Liberty(her name) Hands down she is the smoothest riding and best handling bike I've ever had,It's my fault for taking her to a nonproven shop of hacks for her service date,Now I know better.I'm even thinking like someone here told me that it might even be the back wheel because it did hit hard on the BIG drop off. I'll find out this coming week. daddue

Hey friends, I still love my Roadrunner 300,but, I am finding new things that have to be adjusted almost every time I ride my bike, especially the front end alignment, after I get it home from the shop it;ll ride good for a few days then it'll start the same shimmy at 52 mph??? frustrating. and all of a sudden it has a throttle drop at half throttle(don't know why) it drops off at half throttle and the starts climbing again at WOT ? Go figure. We've been having 100+ temps here for the last couple months and when I have to go over at least three or four steep hills it will over heat(timing maybe?) but when you get back to level ground for a mile or two then it cools down(possible air lock??) It would be a hell of a lot easier if I could find a shop that wasn't over 100mi away from me. Even if it were to pick their brains,I'm not used to asking for help on public forms, makes me feel ignorant,I know that's silly.

Hey friends,I've added to my stables lately,I've added 2 mint condition Skygo spiders (1 pink,1 yellow) to my stables, they are both 2004s that have been stored away in a tire shop since they were almost new,one has 250 mi. and the other has 500 even. I replaced all the cheap plastic hoses and changed the oils in them, filled them up with fresh gas and they started up right off. I bought so the wife and I could ride around town and explore the dirt roads around here and also we'll have the tank for an extra in case one of our friends want to tag along. The Skygos both have the SG50QT-2A emgines and run like bats out of hell. So,now We have Liberty (300cc reverse trike) Tank 50cc and the 2 Skygos. Go ahead and let a feul shortage happen....I'm prepared. ;D ;D ;D daddue11 C:\Documents and Settings\STEVEN sr\My Documents\My Pictures\0722120831a.jpg [/img]

Pardon me,I know this is an old thread and I was just wondering are ALL trikes welcomed to this event or is it just the Can Ams, and bobbles did you attend this one?? It seems like it would have been fun especially if another Sunny roadrunner was there.
