Hello horseguy44,I concur with everything that the oopster said, and even with the 300 Sunny road runner you would probabily (depending on how steep and long the hill is) would still slow dow to in the low 40's. If you had a single rider under 250lbs. you could cruise at 60-65 all day, but, you double the weight and your performance also gets cut. Also, you would have to worry about overheating if you run it at full out throttle for long distances. And one big piece of advice is that no mainstream bike shop will touch either trike because, they don't have and it's hard to find any written specs on them, and you should be very careful about just handing over to a(car shop).

They are contracted with Sunny to sell and service thier scooters, so I guess (key word GUESS), they are certified by Sunny scooters to do service and warantee work I know that they won't get my buisiness again,It's kinda scary when the mech calls me up and asks where the drain plug for the gear oil is so he can check it,I told him to just leave it alone and I'll pick it up in the morning.

Hey friends,I've decided to wait until next week and take it to the shop where I bought her from. I'll have to take a day off from work, but,I can at least trust them as far as they know what they are doing. I'll not ever take it to a little corner shop again. I know how to do most of my own wrenching, but I would rather have a certified mech do it while it's under warranty, and I know that the warranty is probably not worth the paper it's written on,but I feel better having someone doing it that's worked on this type of bike before just for my own piece of mind. After I get it out,I have a 90 mile round trip mapped out and if that works out I've got a 213 mile two state trip planned and mapped out, all on smaller highways, but first I've have to be able to rely on my bike and have confidence that it will be safe to ride. If anyone would like to take the ride with me just holler. I will start at Mountain View Mo. and go down into Mountain Home Arkansas, Then across to Mammoth spring Ark. then back up to Mountain View mo. again,it'll be a huge circle of a little over 200 mi. with at least six different stops along the way. Oh well,That's all daddue11 has to blab about for now. Bye friends y'all have an excellent night.

I am so disgusted with this shop here. The so called mechanic me up and said that he was finished with my bike and it would be ready first thing last friday morning. RIGHT! When I went to pick it up I told the owner that I was going to test drive it before Itake it back with me...I knew it wasn't going to be good as soon as I saw the worried look on his face. He got the bill out and started telling me the stuff that they couldn't fix,or DIDN'T know how to fix. I was told that they didn't tune it up because the mechy thaught that it ran JUST as good as the 15occ Wildfire scooters that they sale. They didn't change the gear oil or anything like I wanted (said it still looked GOOD at 700 miles and The mechy advised that he couldn't align the front end properly because he was by himself and needed someone to sit on it while he adjusted it,and actually wrote on the bill to"Just don't drive it over 50 mph. So much for taking it to these rinky dink corner fly by night scooter shops. I'll just have to wait until I get a day off during the week and take it to the one in Sringfield over 100 mi away. In my opinion and I'm sorry if this offends someone, but,I love CHINESE scooters, they are great but it's the fbn empty lot corner dealers with no experience that give them the bad names and maybe if the manufacturers would put out a decent manuall then the big bike shops would work on them for you. IMO

I put my baby in the shop today, gonna have them change the oil, tuneup, align the front end ,gonna also have them check out why the coolant light came on after just sitting 30 seconds in the turn lane. If it's one thing I can't stand is to have a ride that I can't use , be it car or bike. If I have many more rides like this I'll end up trading her in on something newer\better that's just the way I am.

It's me again, Man the ride going home was sure different frome the ride going to work, the wind was up to 35mph and alot of crosswinds, after hitting a pot hole on a town road my bike started shaking violently when I would go any faster than 51mph and my coolant temp light came on when I was waiting in the turn lane when I finally got to my town. By the time I got to my house, the light was'nt on anymore and the coolant level was fine, but,it sure gave me a scare. I think I'll drive the car tommorow at least so I can check everything out after work,I know it got up to 103 today, but, should that have made it overheat by just stopping in the turn lane? And I'll have to check the alignment again. MAN, What a blowhole of a trip home. daddue11

Hey friends, sorry for not posting much for the last month. Today I rode my sunny 300 roadrunner to work,it's only 16 miles to work and 16 back but I've got nothing but pretty big hills to climb most of the way with excellent two lane highway all the way. on the way there 6 different log trucks went by and the gust from them was barely felt. My fasted speed was only 54.6mph since the speed limit is 55 and I am in nooo hurry at all. Maybe one of these days when I'm late I'll have to push it up into the sixties so the boss won't chew me out for being late.......No!! Wait!!! That's right,I am the BOSS ahahahaha yeah baby. O.K. getting back to the story,I'll be leaving work here in about another hour or so,I hope it doesn't rain on me because it's clouding up. The bike ran fine and stayed cool in the 102 temps we're having here, and there was about a 25mph wind in my face and it didn't feel as peppy as usual, not bad but just maybe a little off because of the wind or something,I'll give another report tonight after I get home. All that being said,I still love this bike and it's as comfortable as my loveseat at home and rides smooth still,I'm ready for my second oil change already and I plan to pack a bunch of miles on it this summer since Im gonna be using it to go to work every day for now on until it get's too cold and maybe still gonna ride it in my snow suit until it starts getting the WHITE STUFF on the roads. I won't be one of those WOT guys though,I want to keep this bike for good and I don't believe in flogging a good horse to death. So,goodbye until tonight . daddue11

Thank you my friends. There is just something about scoots that make you feel warm and happy that you just can't get from a big motorcycle or a ride in a car,it's kinda like having a warm cuddley puppy rather than an attack dog,it's always there just for you. A good one takes you to that happy place. p.s. I opologize for posting in the wrong section, kinda got lost.

Hey there friends. It's been a while since I've posted anything on here, We've had a death in the family and things have been topsy tervy for the last month trying to get things back in order or at least a little bit of normalcy. My mother n law had a head injury from a fall and passed away and it knocked the whole family for a loop, she was dearly loved by all. Now the good news,I finally got my wife to get on the old blue Tank and take a scooter ride with me and I saw the first signs of life in her since the accident with her mom. We went on a 40 mile trip in the country and around town and when we got back she was just beaming and the fire was back in her eyes. I convinced her to lead the ride and take us where ever she wanted , then when we got back home I made the best Chinese dinner and desert I've ever made and we all pigged out and had a wonderful night and slept like babes. I've often thought that I spent money on the scooters foolishly, but, now I know that it was spent wisely and I thank God that we had them because they were the key to us getting back to normal. We even rode them to the cemetary to pay our respects and place a flower on moms grave and talk about what a wonderful time we had riding and I could tell that my honey finally came to peace with it. I recomend a scooter ride during troubled times for anyone as long as you can drive safely,it sure helped us. Thank God for them scooties. daddue11,Steve
