guess the original poster must of figured it out? I was wandering what scoot model I have a 2009 Jonway YY250T-2/MC-13-250 and no rear latch, just the side, figuring it must be the YY250T or I believe same as MC-54?

Oh and a 1/2inch diameter clear hose got a foot using 6-8 inches of it??? With a long shank bolt with the threads cut off like Jr. suggested and two hose clamps, 3$ fixed!! Better then going to my Scooter dealer and use all the gas to drive over a hr away, plus I think how I did this is actually better then the stock drain hose!! Thanks all!

Oh well im not going to remove the head vent line, guess they made my air box convenient with the overflow line to keep oil out of the actual part of air box with the filter. U can see the clear line sticking off the box on the left www.powersportsmax.com/product_info.php/products_id/13628And yes VENT THE ROOM! LOL

The hose is connected to the part of the air box called the OIL CATCH BOX, just a drain hose sorry for the confusion as u thought i was talking about the hose coming off the head to the air box. this drain hose hooks to port before the CVT filter and the air filter and then u have the hose coming out of air box running to the rear gear box so I was explained the area where this hose is connected is the the section of the air box they refer to as "the oil catch box" so it will drain any excess oil and collect in the hose instead of just leaking out making a mess , and keeps oil out of the other areas of the air filter box. If I was to block that port off then I would have oil in my air filter box itself and risk oil running into rear gear box big problems!

Thanks for ur help Bikedown, But looks like I got problem fixed just got to get hold of my dealer see if I can rob the drain hose off a Bali 250 parts bike he has and use better clamp so it dont fall off again or found some clear hose the right diameter and figure way to block end off so it catches oil and I can drain it when needed. It is a drain hose. You will need to replace it because things get really messy if you simply let it drip to the open air. Hi fairweasel, The hose you need is simply a short piece of clear PVC (also called Tygon or vinyl) hose. It can be purchased at most "big box" building supply stores, most hardware stores, and some auto supply stores. One foot should not cost any more than a dollar; heck they might even have a remnant they they would give you for free. The risk of leaving this port open is that it might enable dusty, dirty air to be sucked into the engine because the "oil-catch box" that the hose is connected to is also vented to the air intake hose after the air filter. What type of scoot do u have bikedown? My 150cc Wildfire I had did not have this hose either just a open vent hole in bottom of its air filter box the only hose coming off it was running into the rear gear box. It was a way more simpler air box no filter for cvt either mine on my Bali 250 has the CVT filter plus regular air filter. A way nicer set up then my 05 150 GY6 Motor had!

I never removed a hose?? " When you remove the hose from the air box that gos up to head breather you will "have to block the hole" it leaves in your air box plastics, or you will suck dirt in, counter productive to removing head breather from air box." The hose from the head is still there! look at link here to my air filter box www.powersportsmax.com/product_info.php/products_id/13628look at the pics the hose thats I lost somewhere while riding is the clear hose comes off air filter in front of box right behind the filter and cover for the CVT. I still have the intake tube off the carb connected, with the hoses from the head still connected. The hose that runs out of air filter box to the rear gear box still there as u can see from this pic this is just clear hose that catches oil blow off, it comes from bottom of air filter to nowhere and it only blows out just put my finger up to where the hose is missing no sucking. What u are saying makes sense if it was the hose that goes to the head. this hose goes nowhere just hangs. Just like Nulldevice said its just coming from the air filter box? and goes no where yea just plug it off. at first, i thought you were talking about the hose that comes from the valve cover thats just vents to the air filter now thats a different story!! If I was missing the hose from the header/valve cover that vents to air filter then exactly what u are saying makes sense!
