Update. Well it did it again, but started. I quit using the Kill Switch to shut the bike off, and have not had it die yet. Yep, it's in there, those cheesy connections, I remember seeing when I padded the plastic windshield . If I'm really stranded I can get to it with a Phillips . Later.

Well I checked as best I could. I found that the main positive red wire was not tight, but not loose. I suspect just enough when you hit a bump or something it kicks off. It's tight now. This was the only area on the bike I had not invest aged to tighten things.

Yep! That's the first thing tomorrow. I'll look for ground wires, everything on the right side of that bike, and the fan sensor area.

Also it just did it when I hit a bump, I think the bump helped. I'm sure it's a loose something. Looks like time to trace from battery; which is tight, and go from there.

I got a 2008 lance duke 250 touring. Runs great no problems, except ; it's done this 3 times; it just dies, like someone pulled the plug, but always starts back up. Can any one help guide me to where to look for, I'm assuming a loose wire, or something? Any ideas would be great, Marvin.

I had # 2 . I lowered the idle and it helped dramatically, even after a long ride or standing in traffic waiting for the light to change. crap I hear a raccoon coming.

I still would love to ride a Triumph Thruxton 900 or Ducati. I've only had one wreck in my motorcycle career . Had to get life flights . Ended up with a collapsed lung, fractured pelvis, torn right knee, 3 cracked ribs, brushed sternum. Head was fine I wore a helmet. It was on a windy pine tree road, and a car veered in my lane . I went off the road at 60mph. I still love the freedom of 2 wheels, scooter or machine. Peace!

I know. But I got a bad back, and this position seems to help cusion the bumps. Might hAve to bag the scooters.

Well here is another thought. Do these CF moto engines have a chain tensioner of some sort? It's as if when torque is applied at take off, we hear a tink, rattle rattle. Then goes away. Sounds like the timing chain, if it has one, needs just to be a tad tighter. What do we think?

For these Chinese bikes, D.O.T stands for "Don't Over Tighten.". Found out the hard way!

I am wondering how othe riders position themselves when riding? I've been riding flat footed on my lance duke 250cc. But a recent windy road trip in upper elevations changed the way I now position my body. After so many turns into the corners I noticed my ballence with the bike, was out of balance . So I positioned my feet underneath and way back behind me. This dramatically changed the way I and my bike handles in the corners . So now this is the way I ride. The feet in this position now serve as shock absorbers; I can pitch out a knee in a corner to balance it out. Thought I would post my finding as was wondering about other peoples experience. I feel so my better riding the machine in this fashion. Later, Marvin Lee, in Idaho .

Thanks for the input. I noticed its prone after long rides, I go up the basin here in Idaho; from 2400elv, to 5000elv. It seems it tends to do this after the decent coming to a stop, then taking off like you said as well. Well who knows, I just ease the throttle at first then I'm good to go. I'll see what Chevron gas does and try that. Thanks
