Alleyoop, here's the results on the two wires, altho the colors were different Wire#1(yellow/red)10.50v/.with..starter button depressed 0.74v Wire#2(green/red) 10.46v/with...starter button depressed 9.10v Reading across the two was 8.33v Best Regards

it started out me having to re push the starter button several times before it would crank... until the other day it just quit out-right. with the switch on, the headlights, taillights, and brake lights work. But that's all. If I turn on the ignition switch... lay a screwdriver across the two large terminals on the solenoid, the engine cranks and runs fine. I have taken the starter button apart, noticed slight pitting where the contacts come together and sanded them (right move, wrong move) Right or wrong it didn't seem to help one bit. My scooter is my sole means of transportation and last true link to freedom. If any advice should come my way... I would be grateful forever.

So far everything I 've worked on and replaced falls into line with a standard GY6. You saying that the measurement across the well determines what size puller I would order? Thanks for all the info. and about Greg @ Mainely Scooters, I'll for sure e-mail him.

Judging from the god awful sound which emits from the general area of my starter, starter-clutch (kinda like some body's hitting it with a ball-peen hammer) I'm leaning toward the notion I need a new starter-clutch. I've taken the starter off, took it apart and see no problems there ... the teeth on it that engage the starter-clutch are clean as a whistle, so my greatest fear is that the problem lies deeper within. This is on a (gasp) 2009 Diamo Retro 150 with 7000 mi on it. I do love my putt-putt and want it save it's life if at all possible, anyone have any ideas what this may be??? Also, I need to find out if the fly wheel puller I would need for this project has LH or RH threads and what size? Thanks for any advice anyone can pass on to me.

I have read somewhere that you need a press to change out the transmission gears... is this true about the gears you are referring to?

I have a 150cc Diamo Retro, should the variator sleeve be lubricated, if so what do I use, if not, just run it dry?

I have a 2008 Diamo Retro 150cc. Everything is stock other than the 15 gram slider weights I have installed. My question is are they going to harm Anything? My scooter has 6800 miles on it and I have tried rollers and sliders from 10 grams Upwards and it seemed to me my motor Was winding out way to soon. So now with The 15 gram weights I feel enough power Say at a traffic light and top end is about 52 mph @ 7500 rpm (it does not sound comfortable above that Rpm). Am I doing any harm using these??
