Not sure, it was the standard, size small jet that comes in stock 50cc carbs, could it be a problem if the fuel bowl O ring os not seated properly?

So i just got my new carb, i opened it up and put a new size 80 main jet in it, closed it. Then i installed need fuel and vac lines to my scooter, i took the old carb off, put the new one in and tried cranking it.....it wouldn't start up, i kept trying but it wouldn't start. I took out the new carb put the old one back i. And it worked fine.....can anyone help with this problem?

so i just put in a new main jet in my carb and i am trying to seat the fuel bowl o ring but it won't stay in the slot. i am not talking about when i flip it over to put it back on i mean the rubber o ring literally pop out. if i get one edge seated properly the other edge pops out no matter if i hold it in. i was wondering is it safe to use RTV black gasket sealer to help?

What are the pistons? And also do you knowhow to get to the rear drum break, and or know what the constant wheel squeaking is when it spins?

Now the tire squeaks even when the bike is running. O-15 MPH i can hear it squeaking but after that the engine noise drowns it out. So any idea if thisis a problem, or how ti fix it and or the brake problem as well?

Hey guy so my front disc brake and back rear drum brake both are squeaky. I feel they break fine and both have only been on for a little over 500 miles, but for whatever reason they squeak when i brake. Should i get new rear drum and front disk brake pads, does this sound like it would solve the problem? If i end up replacing the drum brake and disc brake pads does anyone know how to do this? Also when the engine is off and i weel the bike around it squeak. The tire just squeaks after a revolution and i don't know if thatis a problem or if i can do something to fix that as well?

Got it! Thanks for the help alleyoop. The air filter, main jet, and fuel and vac lines should be here soon and then i will install everything thing at once. Just wondering though do they sell 3/16th and or 1/4 vacuum hose plugs? Like plugs to plug up the ends of the vacuum hoses?

Alleyoop if i just ride it around for five minutes would that warm it up just as well? And then What is a good setting for the idle speed to start at as well? I sure hope that 80 main jet will be enough for optimal performance when my new air filter arrives

Here is a picture of the carb. So i should definitely tighten that drain screw down. Also what should a good starting point right off the bat be for the air fuel ratio screw and idle speed screw? Attachments:

How durable are carbs? I just bought a new carb and had my dad looking at the new carb while we were outside. He placed it on the ground behind me and well i kicked it and it knocked around a bit. Do you think it is possible for something to have gotten out of line and messed up or am i just being over paranoid? Also this carb is a little different. There is no drain screw at the end of the hose. So i was wondering is this the drain screw on the carb? Attachments:
