ok i DO feel bad for the rider but.... he did not look both way's b4 he pulled out, it was his own stupid actions that made that happen! just a good lesson to us all,no matter what the tech is we must rely on comen sence and our own eye's,ear's,smell,(yes even smell) and touch, when in a car or on a bike ! my older brother told me b4 i got on my 1st dirt bike these are the rules for riding, 1) never ride a bike you cant pick up from it's side alone 2) commen sence is key to staying alive 3) having a little fear of riding will only highten the sences(just dont let it rule the ride! i have laid down offroad bikes and 3 wheelers but on the street those 3 rules have kept me alive for many many years! happy highway's

its funny that this thread started today as i just changed from 14g rollers to 12 g sliders yesterday. i have alot more on the take of and passing power at 45 to 60 ,i took her for a test ride lastnight and did about 71 or so(speedo) but today on a long flat ride i could only get to about 68(speedo)? and i am doing let's say 4500 rpm's at 55 mph (gps) i did also just orded myself a ireduem plug but ...hope i can get a couple more top end from it ! i have 3654 miles on it now any suggestions?

ok i got my sliders today , way to go www.buggypartsnw.com/ as i did not even pay any extra and got them in 2 day's!. so ... i put them in closed her up and did a real good test and....passed big time !the throttle response is soooo much better, i took betty blue for a hill climb on one that has always erked me becouse i would lose about 8 to 9 mph before i got half way up, this did not happen i did lose 1 to 2 mph but was at less rpm's as well ,which i really dont understand, but am happy with any way wasn't i supposed to gain rpm's when going to a smaller waight? also sure enough i did not suffer any top end loss ...sweeet!

i read today in post pdi,and saw the pics of the inside of the varator, holy crap,so i took mine off for the 1st time today and sure enough it was exactly the same , i did take pic's and will post them if you want but they are the same as post pdi thread. and yes that (grease) and i use that word loosely was sticky and had a god aw-full smell,by the way i used a chain type wrench to hold the varator and loosen bolt , came off with Little fuss...whew! ;D. but as i have full confidence in mr jr,i have decided not to put anything back on till i get my 20x12 12g 8pack from www.buggypartsnw.com/ then i will seal it all up and test the heck out of it,but i gotta say this even if ya not going to upgrade to sliders ,you just gotta get that thing cleaned out

wow thats nasty looking in there,i gess i gotta get mine off,and clean that crap,260 can you twist throttle and watch at carp to see full travel of linkedge? when i did a carb cleaning i didn hooh it back correctly and the linkedg plat was jaming on a single brass looking screw on oil fill side of carb ,it kept it frome full travel/wot,on center stand it will still pass 8000rpm's as there is no resistance.dont mean its the same thing but...

thank you all well as i have spent many day's looking at websites and even a trip to suzuki dealer ,i have come up short,but... this website: www.bikescreen.com/products.asp?cat=98said that if i send them my windshield ,they would make me one with trhe exact mounting holes and as wide and tall as i want it! i spoke to my better/financial,half and got the ok to do it,sweeeet ,man my lady loves me,lol. so i am packing and sending today ,so keep tuned if you have a scoot like mine as now they will have a blueprint to go from for the rest of you. ps i am getting it 4 inch's taller, and am asking them to make it 3 inch's wider at the area infront of hand grips as well, wish me luck! happy highway's
