Just curious what others are getting on this scooter for a top speed. I currently can get it to 63-67 mph (gps). Low? High? Whats yours?

Might wanna mess with your roller weights to increase speed. Mine came with 14 gram weights and I lowered them to 12 gram to get more bottom end, but now I top out at about 75MPH whereas before I could get up to 83-85MPH but that's too fast for me anyhow.

I ride my scoot to work and back (250-B) when the weather allows and I run about 60-65 mph. with a little throddle left. ( 60 mph speed limit ) Then I have to get on the interstate and it's a 70 mph limit and I'm running that and I don't have much throddle left, just a little twist and I'm at the max. A lot of things has to do with getting top speed from your scoot as it would out of any vehickle. Tire pressure, Carb. adjustment, Valve adjustment, Spark plug gap, better grade of gas, all of these things have an input on your top speed. Now I'm just a little over J.R.'s weight loss. Like 50 lbs. so yes, weight is a factor. ( Wife put me on a diet as of Monday and I'm hard to get along with already.) LOL's

Currently my 250B is still under the remods stage but, last season I could run it on the interstate up to 83 m/h with no throttle left. One time, on a long down hill I was approaching 90! With a death grip on the handle bars and several Hail Marys I have survived but...NO MORE!!! THAT was too scary! BTW… I weigh under 150

I just got the Tom Tom GPS mounted, but had my Bali MC-13250/YY250T-2 to 65mph GPS (that was about 77mph on China Meter) and I still had plenty of throttle left could of easily hit 75mph, I think Im almost at 1,500miles, and I weigh about 120lbs.

ScooterRider are u going by the speedo on the scooter? it is at least about 10mph off! well mine I thought was only 5mph off as when I drove by one of the street mph meters I was going 25mph and said I was doing 20mph! but once I got my GPS mounted It starts at 5mph off then gets to being like 12mph off! like when Im running 60 mph on GPS it will say 72mph on bike, but 55mph GPS is 65mph on bikes speedo! so if u are doing 90mph on ur scoots speedo u r really doing about 75mph GPS

I haven't gotten techy enough to get a gps, still like a challenge folding my map, but I have been followed and clocked with another car. My speedo is almost right on the money . At 50 and higher you can notice a couple of mph difference, but no more than 2-3. Guess I lucked out with this bike.

Her speedo was showing 60, mine was showing 62m/h. I will check against the GPS next

Top Speed for me so far is 55mph. Just turned over 600 miles and I am not going to blow an engine to see how fast it can go at this point. I use Velcro on my garage door opener and used another piece for my GPS. So I took it out and my speedo is dead on up to 50 MPH. I lucked out with the odometer as well as it is 1/10 of a mile off every 3 miles. So if I go 3 actual miles it will show 2 9/10. After finding out that it was pretty accurate I have been using Fuelly to track my MPG.

well , with the new sliders, and carb slide, and new tires, and new plug, my new top speed is 77mph woooohooo!i dont ride wot ...ever,but i did go for the hard break in (just made more sence to me,i dont open it up wot but i did get close many times right out of the box, i do think i take great care of my scoot as i change all flued at half the suggested miles.
on a sep note speedracer did you say after your slider upgrade it sounds louder? as i did the same upgrade and although i did not notice it being louder , my wife and others swear it is !

Speedracer - the speedometers on scoots are decidely inaccurate so it makes sense that the odometer's off too. The error on mine is slight a slower speeds but increases the faster I go. Good old Dr. JR will tell you that you're not going to hit max performance until that thing is broken in. At 600 miles, you've got a ways to go.
Fubar - I'm an old artilleryman from Vietnam. The wife is always hearing things that I don't.
