The scooter has not had a good run for about 2 months I think. Had it running yesterday on tick over for about an hour. I wonder if it has a good run would that help it. My son can't do his test till march so plenty of time to sort it.

Are they both easy DIY jobs or is it best to take it to my local bike shop. Don't want to spend out a fortune if I can help it.

Can anybody tell me if a can just get a spare key cut at the hardware store for a 2011 Jonway yy50qt 6 or has it got some sort of immobilizer fitted to it. The fuel cap is difficult to lock and I am concerned that my only key might snap.

Tried it again today. Heated the spark plug up and it started no problem. It ran irregular but I turned the small brass screw near the throttle cable on top of the carb and it ran better. I think a good run would help though. Thanks for your help

Had problems with my jonway scooter. It would not start and smelt of petrol I took the spark plug out gave it a clean and dried it out over a gas flame. Put it back in and it started no problem. Left it running with no issues. Turned it off and tried to start it a few hours laterno joy. Took the spark plug out and it was wet and black and smelt of petrol. Any ideas please

Got a problem starting my jonway put new battery on still no joy. Going to change spark plug but checked air filter today but the bottom of the filter had petrol on it. The scooter hasbeen running but would not start the following day. I think the scooter has been stood for a few weeks before I got it. Fingers crossed it's nothing to expensive.

Theres no kill switch on the bars on the starter horn lights and indicators. Going to take the spark plug out and replace it i think. Fingers crossed that will solve it. I am not sure how old the battery is so taking the one off my motorbike to see if that makes any difference.

Hi everbody. Ive bought a year old Jonway 50cc 2 stroke on monday had it running for 2 hours or so but didnt go for a long ride. Switched it off and it started straight away no problem. Left it overnight and went to start it but no joy. The electric starter is working but it does not fire. Plenty of fuel in it but just wont fire even on the kick start. It took a while to start when i first got it on Monday. Ive had the battery on charge overnight but still no joy.. can anybody help please thank you
