hi guys its your friend PJ. I'm doing pretty good I have many down days than I do have good one's. I'm not gona let this disease get the best of me I promise. There is talk of doing what they call " home dialysis" this means that I will do my treatments at home 6 days a week for 2hrs. This will mean a lot less stress on my body and an easier diet to follow. I challenge anyone to a dialysis diet for a week ha ha ha! Anyways I'm hoping to be able to help out more on here in the next few months. I'd like to talk more but I've got to get some rest long day tomorrow. Talk soon and thanks for everything everyone has said it give's me a boost in moral knowing that you peeps care!!!! PJ

I talked to my social worker today and she said to take the tabs to a recycler then take the money and either donate to the National Kidney Foundation online or visit a local dialysis center and donate it to them. Most centers have a kidney fund that helps with patients who need meds or a ride home ect.... The other thing is to donate them to the Ronald Mcdonald house they can help the families with housing while there loved one's are in the hospital. You can also donate the monies that are collected send it to the nearest hospital that has a kidney program. Most univerities have a pre and post transplant program and they would be more than glad to help. I'll keep on posting more information as time goes. Thanks for all the help everyone!!!! 8)

My fellow scooterist I have a mission For everyone! Start saving your soda tabs for me.Each tab is one minute on a dialysis machine for someone in need. Also Ronald McDonald House is another you can send to and many more charities can use the money. I know know it sounds a looks simple but the $$$ adds up. Check with your local charities to see where you drop them off. My last word about this is that it is SIMPLE to do... PJ

To answer luke about my kidneys I was born with one and its removed and the transplant that rejected has been removed also. The only pain I suffer from is were they poke me with garden hoses(I have to use a 14 gauge needle) at but soon if I can get them to cooperate I'll have whats call a button hole a sight were they repeat the stick in the same place and creates a tunnel for non-pointed needles to stick an easier way to describe is the tunnel is like a pierced ear the tunnel is the same. this will help ease the pain. The other pains that I have are migraines cause of treatment and a bad back soon I'll get Rich to crack it for me lol. I'll keep peeps posted PJ

Yes please consider signing your organ donor cards! Now I know some for religious reasons that isn't allowed thats ok its the thought that counts and I'm not gona get all religious on anyone that is there personal belief and I respect that. The hell of a ride I took yesterday well I hope that it doesn't happen to anyone else. Keep the tires inflated and check them often cause you don't want what happened to me happen to you!!!! All the thanks for everyone that is helping me through this time in my life were even having friends to talk to is very important. Luke your a funny man and one day along with the rest of ya I will come and visit!! again thanks everyone I wont forget ya and keep everyone posted on whats going on!!!!! Bash I think a special post that needs addressed is tire inflation cause I know that issue is what happened to me safety is very impotant and this needs to be addressed not only with a post but maybe a video to go along with it.

Thanks M/C, bong, and everyone else. I had an accident with the scooter today. The tire separated from the wheel and I'm banged up good but nothing required stitches or an ER visit. I I was riding through an intersection when my scooter started to wobble and I went down. At least some folks were stopping and asking if I was ok and helped get my bike out of the road and into the MCd's parking lot. I didn't look to much at the thing cause I knew it would bring on more pain emotionally. I'm all bandaged up but the compression is easing the pain along with neosporine with pain killer in it. Ill keep everyone posted and Thanks again for your thoughts, $$, and all that good wishie washie stuff lol !!! PJ

Sorry to hear about your hand I know whats its like to type 1 handed. When I'm on my machine my right hand has to stay still so in turn I type left handed. I did do one thing that will help you out maybe. There is a way to change your keyboard to a "Dvorak" keyboard you can type easier. The site www.microsoft.com/enable/products/altkeyboard.aspx will explain I use it all the time and it works for me at dialysis.
