i am typing with one hand.on july 1st, my right hand was crushed and fractured. i han to have pins put into it and have many torn and crushed tendons repaired. i am in a cast and in a ton of pain. surgery was done last thursady. i am on morphine and percocet for pain. and the pain is still almost unbearable.

sadly (and this is the worst part of it-my scoot days for this summer are probably over. ANd why did it have to be my right hand?

That is pretty bad for sure.

What did you do that caused such grief?

Sorry to hear of your accident and yes broken bones are very painfull.

What did you do drop the scoot and held onto the grip trying to safe it? Many people do that and that will crush your hand. If it happens again just let it go not worth hurting yourself machines can be fixed but body parts sometimes not.

no, nothing to do with the bike. was spotting for someonr and they dropped barbell on my hand. it hurts. it all happened as a miscommuniation. as you may or may not know, i am severly hearing impaired. (almost deaf)

going to take a lot of physical therapy after it hrals to get use back

OUCH!! A barbell coming down, that really did some damage on your hand, yes I know it hurts I broke my hand once as well but it takes at least a week or so for the pain to subside enough to be tolerable.

Sorry to hear about your hand I know whats its like to type 1 handed. When I'm on my machine my right hand has to stay still so in turn I type left handed. I did do one thing that will help you out maybe. There is a way to change your keyboard to a "Dvorak" keyboard you can type easier. The site www.microsoft.com/enable/products/altkeyboard.aspx will explain I use it all the time and it works for me at dialysis.

Hang in there, thats what they make pain pills for. I can't even imagine how bad that hurts. John

Well............how is the paw doing? john

not so good. cast came off last monday. still grossly swollen and bruised. unable to move digits. Went to first rehab appt yesterday. Therapist said it will take about 12 weeks of therapy and I will get about 80 percent of my hand back. Still very much pain. But there are some very good and exciting things happening in my life so that keeps me up,.
