It's so strange with my scoot some days the top speed will fluctuate,a few mph up or down, some days it will idle good, some days not,one day it will leak oil then it won't,I was in my garage working on my scoot with my oldest son and this sorta dawned on me there a lot like kids, good some days bad the next, some days they go with the flow other days not so much! Just thought I would share that.

I have been using mobile 15w40 in my 150cc scoot, since I bought it (not synthetic) my question is it ok to continue to use that weight oil in the cold? I have been so far and all seems well,I always let it warm up for a while on cold days,I just worry that it won't circulate well on cold starts, like the upper part of the engine, but like I said I don't hear any ticking or sighns of non lubrication.does any one else use this weight in the cold? I'm prob worrying for no reason, just very anal about how I take care of this thing as I can't replace it should anything happen.as a side note I only have 750 miles on it and have changed the oil three times already I'm super OCD about maintaining my vehicles! Also it is stored in the garage so prob stays a little warmer.

So I took my scooter for a ride for the first time in months (wisconsin winter)and was slowly getting it up to top speed the speedo said 60 wich I know is closer to 55mph,now I have never opened the throttle this slowly to get to top speed but there was no traffic so I wanted to take a long time to get up to speed I cruised for a bit at this speed and figured it was about topped out,but then I pulled the throttle and it was only at 80% yet it would not go any faster, why is it not going faster even though there is more throttle left? Btw it was not slack in the cable I checked that, how do I make use of that extra room at the top end,I did notice my rpm slowly creep up on the digital tach, like 100 or so that's all,but I had no increase in mph, maybe if I had more room it would have gained more speed, not sure.it was really cold to like 20 degrees out would that account for in moving a little faster?

Hello everyone, new member here from wi,I only got into scoots a few months back,(just in Time for the cold) I bought a brand new peace sports 150cc,all stock exept for eBay type muffler, power outlet, and digital tach,I have driven, riden just about everything and my scooter is hands down the most fun to ride,I look at this more like a hobby rather then transportation,it's a china scoot so tinkering and upgrading is a must! I look forward to all the knowledge this site has to offer, and spring! Thanks,Nate.
