I have a two headlamp system and the one of the front right (sitting on the scooter) went bad. You can tell it is the bulb since it looks like a used flash bulb from the 60's. I was wondering if anyone could give me a good source and recommendation for a halogen bulb to replace the original BA20D base bulb. I don't want any odd color, plain white light will do. Many thanks!

I'm convinced that I should use 80w-90. Thanks for everyone's help!

Found this interesting article on gear oil vs motor oil. I hope it clears up some points. It's a pdf file and I'm enclosing the link. www.bestlubeusa.com/gearlube.pdf

The only problem I have is that I'm used to riding motorcycles. In those engines, the engine and transmission are one unit. The oil that oils the engine is the same as the oil for the transmission. I'm speaking of japanese motorcycles and not Harley's that have a separate transmission. This is why I tend to believe to use a 10w40 for the transmission. Any more opinions? I sure need them.

My manual on my BMS 260cc says to use 10w-40 oil for my gear oil on the rear wheel. Most forums tell me to use 80w-90 weight. I'm confused! Which is the correct weight and type of oil to use??? I removed the fill plug in the back and smelled the oil land it smelled like 80w-90 not like 10w-40. I am more confused! Help!

Thanks to all! I also had to please the wife since she kept saying I was too old to be riding motorcycles. Well I finally convinced her about scooters and I'm enjoying myself even more. Now I can ride slower and see the sights!

That is exactly what I got! Red or as they call it "burgandy". So far so good. No problems and I like the power.

Name is Bob Tercero from Palmdale, CA. 62 years young. Just switched from a Yamaha FZ6 to a BMS TBX EFI 260 CC. Can't get away from riding but I want to ride at a lower pace! Love the price on these Chinese scooters!
