Great pix Rich - looks like a great trip.
About that bird. We had one once. Got it from the wife's hairdresser. Not a love bird - a hate bird. The only time it didn't bite as when we turned the faucet on so it could take a shower.

Yep - it was fun but there's so much going on that it's impossible to catch most of the events.

Yep - economy is great but scoots are just plain fun. Welcome to the forum!

For sure. This was the 13th year and they estimate 50,000 bikers were here. There were no motel rooms or campsites for 35 miles around. The population of the city is only 35 thousand. The owner of that Goldwing in front of me was behind me at the ATM the day before and was asking about my scoot.
As they say - "A good time was had by all" - well most all.

Thunder in the Valley was last weekend. What an event! Thousands of bikes and estimates of people - too many to count. We had violent storms on Wed and Thurs but the weekend turned very hot. This year, I decided to try and generate some scoot interest and rode in the parade on Saturday. I went to the assembly point and had a great time talking with other riders. Nobody dissed scoots. In all, there were 4 scoots. Mine, a lady on Majesty from about 35 miles away, A lady on Burgie 400 who rode down from Rochester NY and a guy from about 7 miles away on a Burgie 400. We swapped phone #'s and are going to try to get a group ride ride going. There were a couple pretty young girls giving out Jaegermeister stuff. I got a T-shirt and ballcap. They asked us to wear them around so I changed shirts. I was tempted to ditch the helmet but thought if I'm preaching safety, I should wear it. Boy was it hot. I guzzled a quart of iced tea after the parade. My camcorder didn't work right so no movies. Somehow my daughter got her camera stuck in B&W so there's a couple of me that are not in color. Exie at the assembly point Lady from Latrobe Burgie from Rochester Stan's Burgie Waiting to start On the move Bye, Bye Sometimes you have to blend in.

Looks good. Of course blue is the best color for scoots!

Rich - have a great and safe trip.
Note on Harbor Freight vs Tractor Supply. Here in PA, if you buy a HF trailer, they treat it as "homemade" because you put it together. You have to have a safety inspection and fill out a bunch of extra papers to get a plate. TS trailers are pre-assembled and are ok in the PennDot database. Buy it and get the plate right away. The HF guy told me before I bought one. I bought mine at TS and then got a side kit from HF.

For sure gravel sucks! Our roads were in pretty good shape and then we had some very heavy rains. I'm back to being super careful on turns. I'm glad your dad is ok.

Thanks guys. She's feeling somewhat better but far from 100%. She's able to work some and is certainly able to come outside and supervise my daughter & me on projects.

Last MRI shows no fracture, no cyst, some old injury and maybe some disc problems. She's feeling a little better.

Thanks Rich. This has been a nightmare. Her family practice doc ordered PT - made it worse. Then X-ray - maybe hairline hip Fx. Then the 1st MRI said possible cyst so they did an ultrasound - said maybe 1 cm cyst. The Blue Cross nurse coach had them do the most recent MRI. Should hear today.

My wife hurt her back Memorial Day weekend and has been in pain since then. They've done all kinds of tests and still haven't found the reason. On Wednesday, I took her for an MRI. As we were driving through the parking lot (slowly), we heard "bang" and the SUV shook. We looked out and another car had back into us. The guy (a doctor) says "I didn't see you". We swapped info and I called into my insurance company. Yesterday, the adjuster came. He found some damage I hadn't seen. Total estimate - $1589 to my vehicle which I've had 6 months and only 2000 miles.
Since we had the same insurance company, he told me he'd just done the doc's Mercedes - about 3 times the damage to it - also new with 4000 miles. He told me that the doc told him that he didn't check his mirrors when he backed up. He was watching his backup camera and it didn't show me.
That's something new we need to watch out for. I'd glad we weren't on the scoot.

Wise words guys! I upgraded to the 250 not for higher speed but to better pull our hills. That's something that Cookees and JR know about. Here in PA, all scoots, even 50's have to be registered, have plates and insurance. You rarely see a 50 up here in the hills, just not enough power.
