The guy I sold my UM Matrix 150XX ended up giving it to his wife because she liked it so much. It looks like yours is an identical scoot. She had the same problem - scoot was too high. He had a local car upholstery shop cut the seat down and repad it and it's fine now. Cost him about $150. I have a friend who had the same problem with her Vespa (She's 5'1") and had it done from Pirate Upholstery with custom cover - cost $450. JR's right tho - the thick soles help too.

My son has a t-shirt that says "when you live on the cutting edge, be prepared to bleed". Good luck!

Actually the Xpeed is Korean so maybe he was looking for kimchi!

I did leave the scoot there for a couple more hours. I never saw him so he must have moved on.

This isn't about a scoot version of the Can-Am Spyder!
Monday morning was wonderful - sunny, cool - great for riding. I had some errands to run so I took my scoot. I got back and parked it in the front driveway.
I did some weeding and transplanting and other yard work. About 2 hrs later, I saw my neighbor out front and walked over to say hello. When I walked back, I saw that some hard working little spider had spun a web all around my scoot. He had it from the windshield down to the handbrakes, back to the seat, from there to the saddlebags and then the same going back to the front on the other side.
I showed my wife and my other neighbor and we all got a laugh out of it. I felt kind of bad wrecking all that work.

Looks good Todd. Did you pad out the backrest on your trunk? I did on mine. Just didn't extend far enough.

I love to fish. I'm also into Astronomy, gem cutting and some silver/gold smithing. I spend most of my free time during the summer cutting grass and pulling weeds though.

Some folks have asked about how I mounted these. Here's a couple pix. I used 8" L brackets from Lowe's. I used the existing holes from the stock back rest for the front braces and mounted through the holes in the plate for my top trunk - see brass bolt. I measured and drilled holes through the plate for the rear braces threaded up through the L brace then the plate. Looks like I lost a bolt? The braces are between the foam pad and the steel mounting plate for the top trunk. I didn't want to drill holes in my plastic so I threaded the wires through the tail light lenses. I mounted this way so I could get to the lock for the storage under the seat and have room for a 2-up passenger. I still need to trim the L brackets - next time I clean my air filter.

Korean speedometers are just as bad. First, the outside numbers are Km and the error's about 10%. The odometer is selectable but if the mph is off, it would follow that the mileage is off too.

Looking good. Thanks for sharing! Your windshield modification is very similar to mine. They do help.
BTW - your garage is immaculate compared to mine.
