What do you mean by valves are tight? Hope they aren't too tight. How about a couple of drops of gas in carb before cranking? It should at least fire alittle with that.

Thanks for the answer. I was thinking about it backwards. Would have to apply 12 volts to lean out enricher as you have discribed.
