I had the major hots for the g400c,,, but have been waiting for carb certs for almost a year,,, and not a perp from genuine corporate ,, I'd snap one up if I can get one,,, probably be my " last" bike,,,,, last being an operative word

Take it apart and clean it,,, it'll most likely fire right up

That thing would make a decent scrambler,,, and for not much dough either,,, I knew you'd love that thing once you got it sorted out,,, i'd grab one in a second if I could find one for sane money

As a side note I wouldn't disassemble a running factory engine on a maybe,,, as it is you don't really know how good the original lower end is,,, if it was mine I'd swap the whole unit in and call it a dealie o,,, less hassle ,,

I wouldn't be too concerned with a drum rear brake,, I prefer disk but it's not a deal breaker for me,,, my Stella has a drum rear it works fine,,, and the r80st (1984) I just got has drum rear and I just bought it so it doesn't matter to me,,,

Check the connectors to the coil,, battery positive and negative terminals,,, battery to frame connection make sure all are corrosion free and tight,,, also it wouldn't hurt to make sure the battery is fully charged also,, any of these things can create weak spark

The spark should be blue?white,,,a few things to check,,,pull the fuel line on the carb and draw vacuum on the fuel valve line to see if it's passing fuel,,,if it is the the carb may be dirty inside,,,,a little more info would help,,,miles and general condition,,,,(like is it all beat up or clean) and a few pics would help as well if you can please
