After almost exactly a year after bringing home my first scooter, I decided to bring home another non working machine. This time it's a onefiddy. I traded a banjo I never played and an old shotgun that was my fathers. Im not a gun guy and neither was he. I bet it hadn't been fired in 50 years. Not a bad trade. It only needs a head and some plastics (and likely a billion other things, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.) Anyone familiar with this style. The engine is just a plain old gy6 that I can see, though I think it's water cooled.

Should be easy to work with. As long as the motor is not locked up.

Nice score,,, unless that " old shotgun" was an Ithaca double side by side or over and under,,, in that case you may have been broomed

The banjo however is more valuable than it was when I got it off ebay. a few years ago Kay and Harmony string instruments weren't worth diddly, now they fetch a hefty price for what they were meant to be (student instruments) and that Chicago factory cranked out a ton of them, then started importing just as many. The banjo is certainly not a Vega or a Gibson, but sometimes you don't want that. Woah...I just realized Chinese scooters are the Harmony of scooters, they are looked down upon and they are everywhere MIND EXPANDED!

Is this a gy6b? It needs a new head, will it be hard to find? The engine number gives me the impression it's just a plain old gy6 150.

give them a phone call if there is question of which one. There is also parts for scooters too if you have questions about which one .
And do you know for sure it really needs a head?

Here is the head scrappy suggests I get It's for the gy6 200b but the 150 head doesn't have the 2 bolts. The "engine family" is 9xyec200sa1 So I guess that 200 is a sign that it matches up.
